New for 2015

Yeah its an old video that's what is so odd to me.

No coaster will ever be too fast or too tall!

The part I find interesting is when he said "mi" at the end. I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. I'm sure it's some type of clue.

mi = Millenium Island?

That's exactly what I thought. If I were to guess, I'd say the more likely area of the park for next years items would be the Blue Streak area. With gatekeeper on the right side of the entrance it would make sense that they would spruce up the orher side sooner rather than later.

The picture Bryan posted a while back of the lagoon and area behind Woodstock express shows up again in Tonys blog. Could be where next years ride is going, could be a hint at Rougarou, or they could just be messing with us. Either way I'm having fun with all this.

Wait.

Do, Re, Mi .

The famous song from Sound of Music written by who? Rogers & Hammerstein, the famous musical-creating duo from the mid 1900's.

Now in the film, the family escapes the clutches of the Nazis in Austria and flees to where?

Where?

I'll tell you.

SWITZERLAND.

Mi. A name I call myself. Famous Duo.

What famous roller coaster duo just happens to be from Switzerland?

That's right...Bolliger & Mabillard.

THANK YOU TONY.

I don't know the layout yet, but now we know that Rougarou is a B & M coaster of some kind, and I bet some more clues aren't very Fa away.

Holy crap. Thats brilliant! That would be so cool if thats the answer

Well, you heard it all here first, folks. Bansh..., er, Mantis will be torn down and replaced with Rougarou, the world's first B&M LSM-launched inverted coaster with a 500' vertical loop right after the launch. It'll fly sky high over the midways until it touches down on the old Pirate Ride site, does a camelback into a turnaround on the old Point Pavilion site, then loops back for a grand finale. Yep. Rougarou.

That whole Sound of Music bit was like 7 degrees of separation...and it was awesome, sarcasm or not.

Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point

While I love the Mine ride for nostalgia sake from my childhood, it sits on a really nice chunk of land.

I was just day dreaming looking at the pic that Tony posted of the swampy area behind CCMR, and wondered, what if that property was combined with the ENTIRE perimeter of water around Mi for a major, low level water huging launch B&M ? Rougarou?

Tony wins the internet today

Edit - Kevin wins the internet today. Note - I did not edit this post.

Seems to me they have better things to do than move webcams to mess with a handful of enthusiasts.

Having just read Tony's latest blog post, it is very clear he is very active in keeping up with what is being discussed here. Heck he evevn ended the post with

Tony Clark:We won't make you wait a century...
...but don't trust the "Lemon Chill Guy."
And maybe, just maybe, don't trust mi?

Good stuff right there!

I stand corrected... I guess he does have time to mess with a handful of enthusiasts. ;) And I'm sure he's having a great time doing it, too.

Or some will detect the massive sarcasm, care less, and continue to speculate away...

Let's talk about logos. If this Rougarou thing is true, what kind of logo are we looking at. A shadowy figure with eyes, or a wolf-like creature. I found a pretty neat one, but I think just eyes would be cool too.

Very nice!!

A poem and cool picture. My mind wandering on the thought of a cool coaster on that corner.

That corner was always fun during the boat ride.

Would CP install something that would disallow a circuit boat ride for decades to come?

I'm kind of loving this. I'm more excited for whatever is coming this year than I have ever been hahaha. Maybe it's new bathrooms for Chickie and Pete's and they will be called Rougarou, which explains the pirate ride area clues, the swampy-ness (if you think about it hard enough), and why the temporary bathrooms were so slow to open :)

I would say the only thing that has a strong possibility of happening is the new paint job for Mantis. I would put some money down saying we will get something new as well but tony is definitely toying with us on what it will be.

Gotta get up before you get down.
