The reason why the Space Shot side seems less noisier than the Turbo Drop side is simple - The air vent (or whatever it is) is at the top of the tower on the Space Shot side - Thus you can tell when the space shot sides are filling from almost anywhere in the park if you listen closely.
The Turbo Drop sides are filled/vented from the bottom. The difference in noise is very noticable, especially when you're working the ride at an enable.
Well one thing is for sure, it will be less crowded going into Top Thrill Dragster. On some hours of the day, your walking bumper to bumper with people in that area of the park. You guys do bring up a good point about Power Tower, but I"m surprised no one is asking why Top Thrill Dragster is loud and why it's loud? You can hear the launch while riding Gemini. Would there be a chance at hearing Skyhawk be as loud as Top Thrill Dragster?
The loudest Dragster gets is when its pneumatic brakes are releasing air. The launch alone is quiet (minus the sound effects), with the exception of the minor noise caused by the cables being pulled into the hydraulic building. Other than the brakes and sound effects, Dragster is a quiet ride.
But if you want a quiet coaster/ride, Storm Runner at Hershey Park is so quiet, I'd look to my left or right and a train would be RIGHT THERE!!! I was like "WHEN DID THAT LAUNCH??!!"...it's that quiet!!

Yeah I think this ride will disturb the atmosphere of FT. CP should have put this somewhere else. Maybe near Gemini or CCMR. Not near the front because of maXair and Ocean Motion.
Plus I doubt this ride will make a lot of noise. It's not super big. Yet its not super small though.
PT is 300 ft tall. That takes a lot of air pressure to control those cars. Skyhawk is about 105 ft tall. Plus they don't need to be controled as much because they swing and not go up and down.

Everything back there is themed, and this isn't at all.
Everything huh? I don't necessarily consider a German Bavarian Wave Swinger to fit in a frontier themed area.
Mr. Scott, I agree that Sky Hawk may alter the atmosphere of Frontier Town, but there are other (non-amusement)parks that primarily serve the purpose for peace and quiet. Yes, this is Frontier Town, but it's part of an amusement park.

I don't think SkyHawk will bother the atmosphere as much as you guys think. Sure it's going to have some noise, but not as loud as Power Tower and not as loud as Mantis. You also have to consider whatever takes place of White Water Landing in 2007 might be a little noisy too, especially if B&M is in the picture. I still think we'll see another flume or a water coaster take White Water Landings spot. I made a bet with TTD 120 on this one, I think I'm right! LOL
