Its not that much of an eyesore, and is actually a nice piece of Cedar Point history. I hope it stays up for many years to come.

I agree with the fact that the FL building is a piece of history, but they should do something with the upper level. It'd be a cool spot to have a gift shop or another park restaurant of some sort. The ramps are already in place.

That's not a bad Idea, but wouldn't they have to renovate the upper level first? I'm sure they would have to like add dry wall, add shelves, registers, etc.

i wonder where the compressor room will go, the concept drwaing dosent show any new buildings. any ideas?

They are apparently saving the "huts" for the lockers. Thats surprising... I wonder if they are just going to refurb them and re-use them in the area. Talk about penny-pinching. Thats nice to see!

They'll probably stay in the area for SRF. I doubt the entrance is moving that much so you'd want the lockers to still be readily available.

That seems odd that they are keeping them. They just look so dilapidated (sp?).

1136A Update-----> Concrete Truck now on site. Looks as if they are putting the lockers there.

Well, if it saves money then its definitely a good thing. And they should look dilapidated - it is FT, after all. I'd rather they keep those as opposed to getting some nice "new" looking ones instead.

They're already pouring concrete for them!

Just because they didn't demolish the locker canopies doesn't mean that won't fix them up.

As you can see in my construction photos section, there are roofing materials in the soak city parking lot. Maybe they will be used to redo the roofs of the canopies.

I hope they're not keeping the lockers there, because right now it looks like they have the lockers up against the old Frontiertown Lift Station. I hope there is space in between the building and the lockers so guests can get in and out.

They are keeping the lockers there. They have cemented them in place already, but they aren't in the way of anything. There was a flower bed there (I think) before anyway.

where is our 800 foot coaster we've been waiting forward for all year. Now we have to wait another full season again.

Huh?

After you finish typing you should proof read your post. Was that Sarcasm I hope.

800 ft? I think everyone keeps asking about a 500 ft which is crazy. I think Cedar Point needs to fix their 420 ft Top Thrill Dragster and let it have back to back great running all year round performance years before we jump the gun to something taller. I personally don't want to see one until 2010 at least! Let technology advance more before we decide to bring the bulldozer out.

Actually they already brought the bulldozer out. It is sitting behind the pile of cement rubble. LOL. I am a starta$$ :)

I didn't read anything from the first 11 pages, but, I am hyped about the new Skyhawk ride. Looks really fun. I will definitely have to go to Cedar Point next year as I have yet to ride maXair(although I've been on Delirium) and now, there will be skyhawk.

The building needed for these rides aren't that big. They'll most likely be behind the queue.

I think someone said these swing rides are floorless, from what I see, all rides already built do.

As you are walking down the ramp exiting the mine ride, on your left there were markings saying "Ride Control." I have a picture in my construction section, but it's hard to make out, as I only have 3x zoom on my digital.

I thing this is where the building will be.

So when do you think we'll see more parts arriving and the structure start to go up? Will this have a floor also? *** Edited 11/4/2005 10:25:49 PM UTC by matt1027***
