New for 2006 - Skyhawk

They'll probibly do a maXair on us again, but without stobe lights this time.

well i'm happy to see a new ride for 06. it looks like skyhawk will be fun but didn't we just get a swing ride this year?

The lights on MaXair look really cool. I just don't understand why the loud speaker warns everyone about Strobe Lighting? Maybe for Skyhawk, they'll light it up like Power Tower. I would love to just see a few lights shine on it like how it's set up for Top Thrill Dragster.

Strobe lights can cause seizures.

NO.

We got a ride that acts like a pendulum not a swing, and lets move away from this again so we don't have another worthless two pages added onto this topic.

My Aunt has MS. She can not ride Magnum or MaXair at night because it may cause her seizures. She can ride them during the day without the strobe lighting. Same thing with the haunted houses and Fright Zone/CarnEvil. She also cannot play or watch video games because of the lighting utilized.

So if she rides and is unaware of the lighting used, CP figures that they could be held liable.

I had to change the brakes on my car. What did I miss. What did they knock down? There is a pile of rubble on the webcam.

Walkway concrete is all, so far.

Makes me wonder if they'll be tearing up the entrance way soon for Snake River Falls. That locker building should be coming down soon too.

^well they have taken out the railings and enterance sign already. All that is left is the concrete to the Snake River Falls line.

Yeah you are right DJ, That is not building materials it is just concrete. I took a second look.

There's a truck on site right now... looks to be picking up the "debris pile" on the right hand side of the cam.

Honestly, I'm supprised that they are keeping the frontier lift building, other than a place to keep cleaning supplies and a bathroom it really has no purpose., and is a bit of an eyesore, with the ramp leading up the side of it.

Its not that much of an eyesore, and is actually a nice piece of Cedar Point history. I hope it stays up for many years to come.

Schools must let out around 2:00.

I think the cam's angled as such because of the angle of the eventual structure. The way Skyhawk looks like it'll be positioned, it reminds me of the MaXair cam.

Of course, I can't think of any other places that the MaXair cam would have fit anyways, save for the arcade.

If you put it on the FL building, it would probably be too close of a view to be any good, this gives a good wide angle view of the entire site.
