New for 2006 - Skyhawk

I too am surprised at how fast they started taking out lockers and other stuff. It looks like they are trying to hurry for some reason. I know they have deadlines and all but they wasted no time as ballPoint has said.

Update---> It looks as if they are removing that beautiful tree!

Thank god the restrooms are staying. I was so worried about that. I am so excited they are remaining.

Where will the air tanks of Skyhawk be put? I'm thinking that the wood in the parking lot was to rebuild that building behind skyhawk, and make it house the air tanks and other parts...just a thought.

There probably pushing hard to get the holes dug for the footers and air pipes before the ground freezes over. They probably will want to get the foundation poured before it snows because its harder to work with concrete when its cold out.After that constructon will pobably slow down.

Its funny - in the flash animation, it looks like the tree is still there. :)

Your right (You can tell CP is closed, we are holding a conversation about a dang tree) it does appear that the tree is still there in the animation. It had just appeared that the ?Backhoe? (Dunno) type of construction equipment was messing with the tree but it looks as if it is behind the tree almost on top of the CCMR building. And that redish/orange looking vehicle/equipment piece in front looked like it was messing with the tree.

UPDATE-----> I wonder why they left the cover for the lockers there?

Wow, a hurricane has kept me away for a while but it's just as well that I missed all this.

What I will say:

*Great looking ride.

*I'll never get on it.

I've got no problem with it being an attraction similar to something else they just added. It is just unfortunate timing with the removal of WWL that a more family friendly attraction isn't filling the void this year.

They will probably destroy those, whereas the lockers will be reused somewhere else in the park, I would guess.

you are probably (sp?) right. they would not throw away good lockers. I could see them putting them over by the Petting Farm.

I thought for sure they would just totally destroy the lockers with the bulldozers, they sure surprised me. Now Where exactly is this tree everyone is talking about that they removed?

It was my mistake. They did not remove the tree. I just thought that it looked that way. It is the big tree right in front of the CCMR building. It is right by the Bulldozer thing.

I hope that they do not throw those lockers away!!!!! My shoes are in there. I figured I could get them next spring <----- Sarcasm

There's a guy climbing on TTD right now planting demo charges. That's pretty lively. I can see him moving around on the cleveland cam.

Cool, what is the link? Maybe they are demoing the top of the dragster to add a few more rungs and make it the tallest in the world.

I think there is a rock that they didn't move in the animation. I wonder if it is going to stay.

What kind of lighting do you think there going to have on Skyhawk? I like the lighting on StormRunner at Hershey. It's like PT's cause they shine the lights on the supports and the colors are always changing.

Ya, I like that too. They also have something similar to that on the Millennium Force. My guess is just regular lights shining up from the ground.
