Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Chaos made by Chance Rides?

Hey now Hooper.. Dragster was running on media day..

ok.. a few hours late.. but still.. not exactly CP's fault..

Detroit: Chaos is a Chance (now Chance-Morgan) ride.

Jeff: You mean you have forgotten about the Power Tower debacle back in '96? That was a much worse-kept secret than maXair. Power Tower was half built before the season ended, and was almost carrying paying customers before they announced it.

Well, not quite that bad. But close!

I bought my season pass for the 2005 season a month or so ago, print at home. I was just curious, only specific rides are Joe Cool right? I wonder if maXair will be one of them. Does CP process season passes early on opening day, or do they start when they open? Thanks! Just curious how I should plan out opening day next year without hastle for processing..hopefully maXair is JC!

Who cares, I would run right by it on my way to Millennium Force anyway

For the person who said we don't like clones. Get a life it's a flat ride. Flat rides have alwase been copyed. (exuse any incorrct grammer the teacher is coming.) *** Edited 12/2/2004 1:18:38 PM UTC by CP4eva'04*** *** Edited 12/2/2004 1:20:03 PM UTC by CP4eva'04***

I was reading some things on PKI's Giant Frisbee and it was saying how the ride saw long lines the first few months of operation, but lines now run between 15-25 minutes. If maXair is the same way, I think we might be seeing another WT. WT had hour+ lines in 2002, but as its first season carried on the line got shorter and shorter. MF and TTD will still be the attractions that have long lines.

I'm not all into the formula for figuring out capacity and all but maybe a way that CP plans to get more butts in and out of the seats is to have more ride ops checking restraints. It seemed the two times we had ERT on Delirium @ BeastBuzz, there were so few ride ops to do the restraint checking. That's gotta be a bigger boost to getting more people cycled through.

To those of you who haven't been lucky enough to get to ride one of these things yet, you're gonna love it! I am a huge flat ride fan and an even bigger GIANT flat ride fan. Every time I get on Delirium, I get the uncontrollable giggles because it is SO much fun. For those who are worried about possibly getting sick on it take this advice; it's not really like your riding, oh say the Witches Wheel. There are rotations involved no doubt but it's highly overshadowed by the pendulum swinging back and forth. The "swooping" down and back up till it's extended is the best part hands down!

I really doubt they'll have JC ERT on this ride. While it (maXair) is a very cool ride, why would you bother to buy JC membership to get into the park early to ride a flat ride? Isn't JC's design all about ERT on coasters? (somebody correct me there if I'm wrong...I don't mind at all!)

Does anyone see the irony in a ride that takes you 140 feet in the air being called a "flat" ride?

John

Our Delirium holds 50 people at a time, goes 74 mph top speed and goes up to 137 ft. As for being called a flat ride, we call them giant HUSS's. We have our nice Giant Top Spin inside of a box (Tomb Raider) and our Giant Frisbee. As far as capacity goes, the line will be long. There would be at least an hour line at all times for Delirium. *** Edited 12/2/2004 5:00:44 PM UTC by HabloRM***

Hi everybody, this is my first post. Im a member of the European Coaster Club - I haven´t been to Cedar Point.... YET!! (my biggest dream). Enough about that. Just wanted to say, that I rode "Sledge Hammer" in Bobbejaanland, Belgium some months ago - also a Giant Huss Frissbee, and I must say...: Wow! It totally blowed me away. Awesome fear/adrenaline rush. It feels like you go WAY higher than the stats say (wich is pretty high for a flat ride I guess). Well, Im happy to see CP is getting one of these babies. For those who havent tried Delerium or Sledge Hammer; you won´t be disappointed. ;)

I would really really like to be excited about this ride, but due to height restrictions, I'll never be able to ride it, I'm sure.

How hard would it have been to design the ride so the floor drops a little more, or there's more clearance between riders feet and the platform during the ride's movement? I've said it one, and I'll say it again....this trend has GOT to stop.

/end rant

Doug, how tall are you?

Do I need to add a line prediction question to the FAQ? :) No doubt the line length will vary hour to hour, let alone trying to figure out what it will be any given day. Besides, it's tough to predict what lines on maXair will be like based on lines for Delirium. On one hand, it is a new ride, but you have to take into account the capacity of the rest of each park.

Basically there will be a long line no matter what.

Well now that everyone knows about 2005 season additions. Time to start debating what CP will put in, in 2006. What does the lemon chill guy say?

What i dont understand is both PKI's Delirium and CP's maXair have 50 seats and run for 2 minutes 30 seconds each time but PKI's gets 600 riders per hour and CP's gets 1000???

Chief, I'm 6'9" and 270 lbs.

....of pure MUSCLE! ;)

That sucks Doug, it's one hell of a ride!

This is going to be X-tremely cool @cp!!! I rode del. @ pki, But this has more scenery to look at!
