68 was the most rides CP ever had. Wicked Twister made 68 back in 2002 then Schwabinchen was taken out, Top Thrill Dragster again made 68, then Swan Boats were removed, and now maXair makes 68 again.

For those of you who thaught I was complaining about the ride, I wasnt, I was just simply bringing up the possibility of that maybe there could still be another ride. I am completely happy with maXair, but it was be so unexpeceted if Cp announced a second flat ride. Thats all i was saying.

Dang it. So long as they don't get rid of that Plinko styled game, Scatterball(?).
Choice prizes from that joint was always the best way to my wifes heart every trip we made.
(Except for the time she couldn't get the giant stuffed frog that had a small rip in it. :-( )
I have a question. When they say they are relocating the games to the midway, do they mean the actual midway or the portion between the front side of the games and the midway. If so, doesn't this mean some trees and seats are going away?
As long as they don't take the fountain out it's all good!
Seriously though, i don't know where they are relocating the games to.
Yes some trees are going to be removed. Its what Cedar Point does best!;)
Why do you think that maXair's ride time is 50 seconds longer than Delirium's and has 400 more people an hour capacity wise? That doesn't make sense does it? On my last few visits to PKI the line for Delirium was longer than any of the coasters.
If they wanted to increase capacity they could just built two. Dueling Giant Frisbees(and they could still keep WWL).
I love a big ole Huss! This ride will be awesome AND dependable. That's a combination we've almost forgotten these last few years. ;)

Yeah I was just wondering. Are Huss frisbee's reliable, or do they experience alot of downtime. I really dont have much knowledge on frisbee's.

I don't personally know the answer for this, but from the word on the streets that i hear they are really reliable.
I just went to the ACE Christmas party and Janice Witherow stated that the games (I am assuming wacky wire, ring over the bottle, that "catch the pinball" and whack a mole) are moving up by Johnny Rockets.
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
They can get rid of catch the pinball and the plate break game. Get us something with challenge. The wiffleball thing off the board needs to go to!!!
At the ACE X-mass party Janice Witherow said that the only things that would be movin are the island of games, and that was it. Nothing else would need to be moved.
If the height restriction is 6'4", then my pops might be out of luck and in a year or two I'll prolly be SOL. Is that the real, written in stone, restriction? Hope not. A new ride anounced like later on would really knock me off my feet. But I'm very happy about this ride so it doesn't matter.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.
On the PKI website it says Deliruim is 2:30. Has someone who has rode the thing time it latly?

The 1,000 capacity for maXair will probably be as close as the 1,500 for Top Thrill Dragster was.
Practically speaking, it's "impossible" to have a consistent 3:00 total cycle (what you need to hit 1,000/hr) if the ride time is 2:30.
You just can't get one group of 50 out and the next group of 50 in, buckled, safety checked and on their way in 30 sec. (consistently, cycle after cycle after cycle.) It will probably take the 50th person 30 sec to get from the queue to the last available seat -- they won't even be sitting at that point.
This published ride capacity is a joke, just like Dragster's 1,500 was. Absolutely unachievable in the real world.
If the ride time is 2:30, a more reasonable cycle expectation is 4:00 (capacity 750/hr), maybe even 4:30 (667/hr). The good news is that will be sufficient for a ride like this. My question is "Why bother publishing an impossible number (1,000) in the first place?" What purpose does that serve?
Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...
If you look at WT with its 1,000pph, it is able to get people through very quickly. Depending on the crew and the ride itself. I always loved to see that ride park, unload, load, check bars, ready, clear, launch in all of a minute or less. If getting 1,000pph on maXair is possible everyone here should know Cedar Point is one of the only parks that can handle that.

Will MaXair meet the interval? Nobody knows for sure, but the reason they published that is obvious. Thats what they hope for it to be and thats what there shooting for. Also a nice round number like 1000 also makes the ride look more impressive. They obviously beleive they can meet that capacity, and who even know if there going to load and unload the thing the same as Delerium. Most likley they have come up with a much more effective way to do it. 1000 pph is not impossible especially at CP.
By just assinging people a seat number alone cuts down the load time by a large amount of time, and if CP has about 4-6 people checking restraints alone, and since I beleive Giant Frisbees have no seat belts, but i could be wrong on this, the interval should be quite short.
As for the 1500 predicted capacity of Dragster, is totally different.Dragster was suppose to have 6 trains running at all time. As far as I know, if dragster had all six trains running, and each car only held 16 people and the way the ride is loaded an unloaded they would come extremly close to that interval. If Dragster had worked properally from day one and did everything it was suppose to do like run 6 trains efficently Im sure its capacity would come very close to 1500 with the crews they have working it. *** Edited 12/7/2004 12:19:14 AM UTC by RockingRollerFarm***
