How did the maXair logo change?

2005 Season- 5 visits
maXair- 4 Spins
Dragster- 36 and ONE ROLLBACK

Maybe they just used fill with color?

Well, seriously, in the photo linked to at the bottom you can see both logos. Originally, both logos were yellow/orange, but they changed it to the red one in January. I like the red now (I originally liked the orange one better) but the red is more fierce.

At the turn of the Millennium, there were signs. Was the something out there?... A mysterious force at work? Beyond words. Beyond comprehension. Beyond, beyond beyond… A natural force simply known as, Millennium Force. The future is riding on it.…

Hey everyone, forgive me if this has already been mentioned, although I skimmed through all 9 pages of this thread and did not see it. If anyone here has ever visited Paramounts Canada's Wonderland you will have noticed that the stucture is very different in shape. Psyclone is what Wonderland call's it, and I am just wondering if it was produced by a different company then Huss or if another company makes them. Also I am wondering if PKI's version is different then Wonderland's? Based on the awsome photos that were just posted on here it look's to me if even the seat's on Wonderlands version differ from maXair. Zamperla (SP?) I know has a very poor version of the frisbee which I have ridden at La Ronde and I am positive that Wonderland's is not made by them. Maybe I am just confused and it's all in my head, but in my opinion Wonderland's looks extremely different. Anyone that know's forsure and can confirm my thoughts and or correct them, that would be great.

Thank You DareDevil, in my opinion the one by Mondial is much more attractive to look at, it look's as if it is more one solid piece our something. Mondials version also delivers an amazing ride, it's easily hands down the best flat I have been on, it is much better then the Jump2, Sledge Hammer (correct me if im wrong) that they installed the following year, which I am positive is manufactured by Huss. Hopefully I will be as impressed with the Huss version as i am with the Mondial. Time will tell I guess.

When I first saw the artist's rendering of the maXair midway (that's what I'm calling it, at least), I noticed trees lining the walkway on the games side. There were no trees there before, so I had hopes this was going to change.

Much to my delight, I see on the webcam workers are building large planter boxes. I'm sure the initial trees will be small, but it's nice to know more are being planted, especially in an area that was devoid of greenery previously.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Not to give a play-by-play or anything, but can anyone explain the cloud on the webcam?

It might be Reticulitermes ferropes also known as the common iron termite. They are known for destroying large steel structures and are one of the main causes of Iron Dragons problems. The new paint (Red/Yellow) hides the effects of the termites much more effectively than the old paint colors did.

Goodbye MrScott

John

Look at the precision of that water... it almost looks intentional ;)

ahhhh look at the last five posts. Ya just gotta love that offseason talk arising from boredom ;)

I thought the ride was giving profane gestures to the webcam and they had to block it out. Is this not the case?

One note I have to correct you on Juggalotus. Iron Dragon is Red and Orange. Compared to Top Thrill Dragster, It is Yellow and Red. I hope you don't think I"m being a jerk by correcting you I'm just trying to point out the color scheme.

I just want to know why the maXair cam is the ONLY one with condensation on it. All the other cams are fine.

Because it's the only one that somehow got wet inside.

Mayor, Lighthouse Point

I just got an email from cleveland.com and they said the cam is down untill the beginning of the season next month.

Just thought I'd share this e-mail from cedar point with you all:

Thank you very much for your interest in Cedar Point and the webcam showing the
progress of maXair's construction.

Recent heavy rains, coupled with warm temperatures over the past few days, have
caused condensation to form in the structure that houses the webcam.

The box and webcam are not easily accessible, so it's taking a little time to
get someone up there to correct the problem. We'll have it cleared up as soon
as possible.

Thanks again for your interest in Cedar Point, maXair and the webcam.

Sincerely,
Ann Marie Whyte
