New for '05--maXair

I like how they thank you at the beginning and ending of their replies. It makes you feel all warm inside.........
BTY- The condensation was starting to wear off last time I checked(for those who arent glued to their computer with nothing to do). That is if this rain coming doesn't cause more condensation.

Except that it goes away once the sun goes down and the box cools. I think the reason was that the aliens switched to day shift (their wives were a little PO'd that they were working 3rd). So they had to find a way to screen it during the day. Before it was dark enough at night that you couldn't see them, and the aliens had no problem with their infravision.

On a side note, I wonder if those are just going to be flower boxes, or if they will put trees back in. Does anyone have any info on what the landscaping plan is?

If you look at the maxair drawing it looks like trees are going to be planted in them, then some kind of seating will be placed around it.

The trees in the drawing are also full size trees. Does the mean the park is going to be stuffing full sized trees down into the ground? I doubt it. You can't always go by what is in "artist renderings". We'll just have to wait and see. Or wait for the landscaping guy with the "inside scoop" to drop the bombshell.

Those circular seating things around the trees were what was there before the construction began right?

I doubt those will be returning. I'm expecting some fairly small trees to go in there. Big enough to provide some shade.

A short update:

The webcam is back to normal without the big water spot on it. The queue appears to be between the ride and the tub ride thing.

I also caught WT testing, but that has nothing to do with anything.

It does look like the queue is on the Rub-a-Dub's Tubs side of the ride, but I expected a little bit larger of a queue for it. I wonder if there is going to be more queue space to come and what is a that space in front of the ride going to be?

I don't see where there's room between the platform and the flume. Look at these pictures: 1 2 3.

I guess we were just thrown off by the canopies that have popped up over there.

Look at the ramp though. It could be that the queue will be off that direction, but somewhat off-set (so as to avoid the little kids). I guess we won't know until we see where they put up handrails.

I sure hope that the q is longer than kings islands. Everytime we go on delirium, the q is full or near full.

Forget hoping for a longer queue than Delirium, lets just hope for shorter load times.

rahtofdoom, I do not recall circular seating areas around trees on that part of the midway (between the main midway and Space Spiral). There were games in that space before maXair construction began.

Although the artist's rendering shows larger trees, the square planters are in the same positions as the artist's rendering, will likely have smaller trees installed (trees grow, right?), and there will be seating around the planters.

I asked about the queue location and the answer is ... if you're facing the Main Midway from Disaster Transport, the queue will be situated to the right of maXair between the ride and Sir Rub-a-Dubs tubs. Riders will exit along ramps toward the Main Midway.

And for you web cam watchers (I can't believe I'm the first to notice :) ), the ride "circle" has been rotating and the floor has been raising and lowering.

Look at the webcam, if you look at the chasse of the ride the blue part has twisted a little. Signs of running?

I did notice that and I've caught Twister once or twice up on the spikes too. I just don't see the need to post about it.

The art rendering looks a lot like the area is turning out to be. With the trees in the planters, the bricks in the cement, you can see the foundations for the sign in front of the ride.

Concrete is now being poured backonto the midway, thats always good.
