New for 2005- maXair, a HUSS Giant Frisbee. I love the location. I think this will bring more people to this area of the park. Maybe help get more people on WT.

Well, I'll help keep the line shorter because I can assure you I won't be riding it. I think it will be a great ride to watch though!
I agree about the desirable location. I also think it is great that the games area is getting an overhaul. Now, if they get rid of the Oceana stadium it will really open up a beautiful area of the park.

Yes, it does really spin at 70MPH. However, it is one of the smoothest "spin and pukes" out there. It's my favorite ride at PKI, because it is so fun, and fast. I am so eXcited that Cedar Point got one!

PointBuzz's maXair page is now up, including a link to video of PKI's Frisbee.
Does it really spin at 70 mph? I thought that figure came from when it was fully extended outward/upward and it's "swoop" downward-that's where the 70 mph comes from, or so I thought. Spinning at 70 mph would seem pretty darned fast to me.

No, it does not spin at 70 mph, it swings through the bottom of its cycle that fast. The rotation is relatively minor.
This is one of the best decisions the park has made for rides in awhile. It really diversifies the lineup and boosts capacity by yet another thousand rides.
And the ride itself is killer.

I remember back in the day when a new ride would mean "just another long line." With all the additions over the last few years, the capacity at Cedar Point is nothing short of amazing.

Wow, interesting placement of this ride. Now this is a ride that could actually seem true if someone were to say, "did you hear about that one ride at Cedar Point where all the riders were flung into Lake Erie?" Just kidding. :-P GREAT addition CP! Can't wait to ride it!
