What? People in Florida talking about Cedar Point? But I thought anyone who had been to a Florida park dismissed CP?
Hmm.
Love your ideas, Ryan.

HAHAHA Kevinj! My girlfriend and I went to Busch Gardens Tampa for spring break this past march and I was not impressed with the place. I'm not much of a "let's stop and look at the animals!" type person. I just want to ride rides. Kumba was an awesome ride though, I really loved that one.
Anyways, I'm all about the whole boardwalk idea! Except I think they should add a traditional boardwalk with surfer themed shops and resteraunts. Also add a wooden coaster at the end of it with a couple of other flat rides! Maybe I'm getting way over my head but it would be a cool way to add on to the park and it would also feel like a different park inside of Cedar Point! Oh the ideas we have and the money we don't have!
SB may very well mean soil boring. That's what those locations with the stakes look like.
Over the weekend I planned to ride Space Spiral to see if there were any markings in the not accesible area. Both days I was at CP the ride was closed. They must have known about my evil plan.

Really? That park is all about the rides. When I was there last year I think I spent maybe 20 minutes all day looking at animals, and that includes the time spent on the Rino Rally ride. Their animal stuff seemed pretty limited to me.
They can't be all about their rides TOO much. They only have 6 coasters, 5 are thrilling coasters, and 3 of them are solely B&M coasters (I have NO problem at all with B&M coasters, but I'm just saying they could use variety!). They only have like 1 flat ride and 3 water rides. I do know that Busch Gardens Williamsburg is A LOT more well known though

I took some about a week ago. I've been told that the circled thing was just a Halloweekends thing. But there were also markers on the Beach by Wicked Twister.
I'm not sure if anyone knows or not but Ocean Motion is now for sale.
Oh no, this is one of my favorites at the park. :(

Seems a bit too early to close off some of the parking lot, but you never know. Not sure if they would use part of the parking lot for a ride or not.
@ Ryan and Kevin. I grew up in Ohio but used to live in Largo, just south of Clearwater and have been to Busch many times, but it's not even close to Cedar Point :) Interesting idea too about looking for the equilateral triangles.
The Ocean Motion (I will always call it the Pirate Ship) is really sad to see go, so many memories on that.
80+ coasters and counting
If you can believe the "Availability: Immediately" line in the listing then I doubt this is the Cedar Point ride in spite of the pictures. I don't think they would close the ride and remove it during the operating season.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
^Well you have some point but they could remove it now or after labor day weekend when they have a break. It doesn't look that difficult to remove.

I think the parking lot was closed off for fireworks? I dont know because it was a couple days before July 4th.
^Yes, they close of part of the lot for the fireworks and do it a few days ahead of time to get set up.

Does anyone know, based on the notes in the ad if CP's matches?
Like "fiberglass on boat re-painted 2002", "New lap bar system in 2009", etc?
Here's a thread from last month, where Jeff said they did some work last year or the year before. Sounds legit to me.
I'm really surprised. Why wait to put it up for sale for this long? Doesn't seem to fit with the 5 year plan?

Because it doesn't take long to disassemble and move? Because it continues to offer quality rides (albeit to a lower ridership than it used to)? Because it isn't a maintenance hog? Because the price they'll actually get for the ride is a nominal quantity in Cedar Fair's eyes? Take yer pick.
