Indeed. Without his glowing endorsements of LHP, I might never have had such a great time staying on Point last season. Thank you, MrScott - catch you on the flip side.

My condolences go out to you and your family. MrScott brightened my days many times in the past. He had a great sence of humor and was very nice. He will be in my prayers and I am happy now he could be at peace. It would be great to get something on Pointbuzz in his memory, because this place will never be the same.
To add, I have never been to LHP but this summer I will be sure to go and I will remember MrScott.

I booked my first stay at LHP this coming August based on all the good information he provided about th place, and how great it is to stay there. I was really looking foward to sharing my experiance with him. My condolences go out to his family, friends, and whole pointbuzz community.
I, too, booked my first stay last year in one of the cottages thanks to Mr. Scott's advice and input. I also had the pleasure of visiting his fair city of Holland last summer on vacation. If you ever have the chance to see it, by all means do so. It is a lovely place. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family
This is, indeed, very sad news. My condolences to you and your family. Though I never met him in person, and never really even got to speak with him online, I enjoyed his presence. He seemed to be such a happy, fun-loving person...and it really showed through in all of his posts here. Pointbuzz has truly lost a great friend.

I'm pretty new to these threads and this year will be my first visit to CP. I think MrScott was one of the first to answer some of my questions. He gave me the sense of someone very endearing and his siggie also told me he was a Trekkie like me. From reading these threads I see he made a great impact on all that knew him, even though it was by a virtual sense. I'm deeply sorry for your loss and offer my sincerest condolences to you and the rest of your family, and may God keep MrScott in his glory.
I am very sad to hear about his passing.
I always loved to read a post from Mr. Scott on PB. He helped many people, myself included, with planning a trip to Cedar Point.
My prayers and condolences are with you and your family.
I am sorry for your loss.

I never got to meet MrScott in person, but from the very short time I knew him on these boards he seemed like a great person.
We will miss you.

I can't believe I'm reading this. I was supposed to be meeting MrScott this year and have him meet my family. I'm so glad that I got to brighten up his day a few months back with the gift of a season pass. I'm in shock right now that I don't really know what else to say.
To those close to MrScott, friends and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. To MrScott, I'll see you on the other side. We'll definitely miss you on the boards.

Ok, I'm struggling here. Based on the quote above, I think Mr. Scott lives up to the litmus test Mr. Pine referenced. He certainly has left an impact on a lot of the people here.
I've been around here a long time and Mr. Scott was one of only a few individuals who post here that commanded my attention every time he posted. I was always interested in what he had to say...even when the opinion differed from my own.
I will not look at the Lighthouse again without thinking of Mr. Scott. Peace be with him...and his family.

I'm very sad to hear this news. Mr. Scott was a valuable member of this community and helped a lot of people with his info. I never met the man, but I thought highly of him.
He will be missed.
My condolences to you and your family, Troy.
I, too, will never look at Lighthouse Point without a thought of him.
Rest in peace, Mr. Mayor.

Oh No!! :(
I'm glad I was able to help with the season pass gift, too. There will never be another mayor, and I will truly miss him.

Truly sad news. I'm glad I was able to help with the gift as well, and bring some joy to his life.
He will truly be missed here at PointBuzz. It's times like this that make all the things we argue about here seem so trivial in the grand scheme of things. Take time to enjoy all the good things.
Here's to a great 2007 season in memory of Mr. Scott!
Thanks Troy for sharing this news with his extended PointBuzz "family". Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time.
It's strange yet nice at the same time that very few of us have ever even met, but we all feel connected in a way.
Quite a few of us (especially those who are posting in this topic) are known as "regulars". We're on this site practically everyday and post/read about what we love with other who have the same love for it. That makes this a very special place for me and is why I continue posting six years later.
MrScott was here from the very beginning and was one of those names you recognized. It was always fun to see a topic about the CP resorts and just wait for his input. His passion for a LHP was comparable to the passion I have for TTD.
His contributions to the forum will not only be truly missed by all of us, but even to those future members who never had the chance to know who MrScott was.
Like Mark said, thank you Troy for sharing this news with us for we didn't have wonder what ever happened to a long time member.

Whenever I saw a post from MrScott I knew it wouldn't be rude or harsh, but rather his opinion plain and simple. It was refreshing, and he always seemed to be polite to people who were new to the boards. And he was always willing to offer another benefit to staying at LHP!
My prayers for the friends and family....

This is so sad. He is the main reason I booked a cabin during opening week at LHP. He was so quick to answer all the questions I had before I booked it. I will definately have him on my mind while I am there in a few weeks. Prayers go out to your family. I know how hard it is to lose someone so close to you. I have seen my dad go through it with his brother, and it's not an easy road, but just trust in God to get you through it.
Wow... I almost can't believe I just read that. I kind of fell away from this site during the offseason, and getting ready for the 07 season I started coming back. To have this thread be one of the first things I see.. unbelievably saddening.
I was a "regular" during last year's season and the beginning of the offseason (zomg mavericks), and MrScott is by far one of the most educated, intelligent, and reasonable posters to ever visit this forum. This forum without his opinions, knowledge, and expertise.. it's hard to imagine.
R.I.P., and I say that with the deepest sincerity.
Perhaps we should organize some sort of PB meetup/ride of his favorite ride, in memorial?
