Hi, this is Scott's (MrScott's) brother, Troy (tryoty). It is with great saddness that I inform you that Scott passed away from complications of his illness.
I want to offer a sincere thank you to all the members here that contributed to getting him a season pass months ago. You will never know how deeply that act of kindness touched him. He never once was able to tell someone about what you people did for him without tears running down his cheek.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Thank you again for giving him a sense of happiness in his final months.
Troy
Wow, this is really sad. :( He will be greatly missed by everyone here.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Troy,
No one has to tell you how awful this is. I had to read your post multiple times to comprehend what I was seeing. I am at a loss for words.
I am very glad we could do something to brighten his day and put a smile on his face. It's very unfortunate he won't get to use the pass we bought him. He won't need it though, he can be there any time he wants now.
We all wish you and your family our condolences and hope everything turns out for the best.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I'm at a loss of words.
He will be missed here at PointBuzz.

My thoughts are with your family at this time. He will be missed.
Looking forward to Cedar Point- July 4th-5th, 2007!
Like others, I also never knew him beyond PBuzz...nor did I know he was sick. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family, and a million thank you's for making this thread.
Scott had a way with words, and a wonderful sense of humor. It is comforting to know that the P-Buzzers made a positive impact in his life.
Next time you're at the point, take a second to stare at the light from the lighthouse. :) He's watching!

PointBuzz has truly suffered a great loss. I also had to reread the post to grasp the loss, & I deal with death often in my work. I pray you & your family will find comfort in the remembrance of all that he was & brought to this life. May Christ surround you with peace in this time.

Peace Love Hope
WOW! I read here a lot, but rarely post. I really looked forward to Mr. Scott's posts. He was a really intelligent person, who taught me a lot about the Amusement industry. Hopefully, CP will get that ride that "involves water", like he truly believed Maverick would be. My thought's and prayers go out to his family.
even though I am a relative newbie to the forums here, my friend and I have followed Mavricks constuction from the beginning and Mr.Scott's theroies were always very interesting and well thought out. May he rest in peace.
