More Downtime

Untill they get the parts, nothing will make the ride go up. Cedar Point has gotton burned several times trying to mod the hydraulics to run without a part or with damaged parts.

In this case, there really is no safe way to mod the system. I'm sure they could increase the pressure of the nitrogen in the two accumulators to over 500 bar when full. Then again they would probably end up with another broken gearbox as well as requiring a whole new set of pumps, motors, hoses, valves, oil for one side.

Again, untill they get the new parts, CP won't be able to do anything to make the ride run.

I know that, its just the fact that wouldnt you think that the Intamin would rush the parts over???

Better check that warranty--lemme see, it was 5 years or 50,000 riders, whichever comes first, wasn't it?

Don't quote me on this but, if the part is entirely shot(broken), then it will have to be replaced by Intamin. Which means that they have to make the part then ship it. Depending on how big the part is, it could take as long as a couple of weeks to make and a couple of days to ship.

Again, that's just my guess.

When Delerium broke down it took almost all season to get the part from Germany. I'm guessing TTD wont be open again until next year.

I did hear from my dad(I don't know who he heard from) that it might be opening around the end of this month. Let's hope he heard right!

For real, that would be so cool.

I am going this coming weekend and again twice in Oct, lets hope that it opens soon.

Seriously though, it’s been running well this year. Compared to 04.......better yet 03, it's been down only a few times this year (though for a descent time). The days it has been running, it ran with almost near perfection and capacity.
But if you experienced something different during one of your visits, then I'm sorry.

Yeah Adam is right dude, the only time I really seen it break down was opening day, and it was down for like an hour I think. Another time I went it was running all day but the next day I had to work, but found out that Dragster was stuck on the top for like 25 minutes or so.

this ride would be so cool if it was runnng for this coming weekend or at worst like alwaysdreamin said the end of the month

Intamin keeps a small stock of parts for TTD and Kingda Ka...

It may be too bulky to send via air here, so it may be boat... and that will take weeks.

Intamin keeps spare parts? Cool!
That makes it allot easier....except for the whole being shipped by boat thing.
