More Downtime

odd thing is that it remained open for 2 weeks after i let them know, and it couldn't have been just me, the smell was TERRIBLE, especially near the Mantis.

Awhile ago I asked CP about Dragster and Monty replied back. It kind of proves that what we've heard on here, on pointbuzz, is true. I though you guys might be interested in knowing this. So here's what Monty said:

TTD120mph just said it proved what has been said here.

I highly doubt it took him all day too.

And not to mention that I asked the question 3 weeks ago.... thats not all day.:)

It seems to me that they like to here peoples concerns and get recognition for doing a good job. If I was bugging them, they wouldn’t have answered or would have said something else.
But that's just not the way Cedar Point works now is it?

I just got an email back from customer relations at cedar point and she told me that they were hopefully have it working by this coming weekend.

We can only hope.

I once emailed them with a complaint and they actually sent me a letter to my home. I wasn't really expecting that.

They Hope to have Dragster running every weekend we can only hope that Intamin does its job to get all the parts here soon, because we know that Cedar Point will do there part to get it running. I would love to show up Friday and be told hey you are at Dragster this weekend but i doubt it will happen. I just hope that is is running soon because Power Tower and Cork Screw are not my type of rides to work.

Did anyone else notice they also took the webcam for Dragster off the CP website? Is this a bad sign?

I'd assume they figure there's not much sense in keeping the webcam up if there's nothing to watch. Once (if?) TTD comes back online, the cam will probably be back on as well.

There was not much point in looking at that cam when it was down, so I also think that it will come back up with the ride.

I think the cam removal has to do with something else.....*cough!!cough!! new ride cough!!cough!!....;)

4 more weekends to go:(....COME ON CEDAR POINT, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!:)

I hope that the ride comes up this weekend because Cedar Point just doesnt sound and look the same without it!

It has been down for almost a month in a few days what is taking so long for the parts to be made and ship, come on Give us Top Thrill Dragster Back!!!

I think that Cedar Point will do everything to get it up and running, i just wish that those parts would hurry up and arrive at Cedar Point!!! I want to ride Top Thrill Dragster at least twice more this year, but depending on when the ride is back up that might now happen :(:(

Plus does anyone really know why the web cam got taken off the website???

I don't know for sure, but I think they figured that there was no point in looking at a broken ride. Hopefully once TTD comes back up we will see it back.

And it doesn’t hurt to take a break and sit in the grandstands and enjoy the view of the tower.
And it wouldn’t hurt to use your imagination and imagine it running. Just move your head as if you were watching the trains cycle and you're bound to get some weird looks.:)

As for the webcam, who knows???(except for CP that is:))

We still have 4 weekends after this one, so there’s still a high chance. I'm PRAYING for it to be up by the 8th. I haven’t been let down yet.
Who ever is going next weekend, go the 8th....I always seem to go on days when it literally comes back up from extensive downtime....I'm good luck.:)

I'm playing it safe by going closing weekend. Though like I said in the other topic, the ride is amazing just to look at. As long as the thing is still standing, I'll be happy. Riding it is just icing on the cake.
