MF Island - Construction?

Does anyone have pics of the "construction"?

Well... If the next coster will be placed where the swan boats used to be It could easily start out there and all the way to millenium Island and/or around. The coaster would probably be %75 over the water, thatd would be awesome if it is a dueling flyer.

i think we may be getting a little bit to excited over dirt piles but hey, it is a possibility

Well, think about it. What could it be? Sure there are other things besides a roller coaster or ride, but it's definantly a major possibility. Enough of one for me to get a "bit excited" over.

With using only one chute, what used to be a real people eater on hot days now has pretty poor capacity and is really a shadow of its former self.

Uh, they were definitely using both chutes on the day I went 2 weeks ago.

What was the "incident" a few years back?

I think he's referring to the structural integrity and near collapse of one of the caves on the ride, forcing their removal.

Actually, I think he was referring to the pile up at the bottom of the chutes in 2002.

Actually, I think he was reffering to the alien invasion a few years back. A rider vanished mysteriously into an alien spacecraft.

In my honest opinion I see WWL coming down in the near future.

I think alot of people assumed it would be coming down for this season. I know I did. I love the ride but they sure haven't done anything in a long time to restore the actual ride or keep it looking nice.

Magnum still rocks.

I never liked WWL Personally and im almost certain a coaster is going in this year so i really think that WWL and Milenium Island are the two prime areas for construction.

Man, people sure are going to be disappointed if they end up doing nothing in the way of rides for 2006 :)

There is no room on MF Island for anything. There is hardley any room for MF. I was talking to a few workers there (Katie was one of them, [sarcasm]and the Lemon Chill guy[/sarcasm]) and they say there is nothing that can be build over there. I saw it this week and it looks like some landscaping.

Also, no one can be on that island without a supervisor and a maintenence employee. If there was going to be a new ride, they would have said something.

There was also piles of dirt on the beach, does that mean they are building something on the beach? Again, sarcasm.

If they were building something for next year, we would already know about it? I beg to differ.

It's been very rare for Cedar Point to announce their additions during the season. The only ride we knew about this early in the season was Dragster and that was a special case since they had to pour the footers so early so they could continue construction in August. Even then we weren't given the details of the ride until January. We didn't learn about the addition of MF until late July.

Considering their latest trend in coasters, the next one they build (whenever it will be, I doubt it'll be next year) better have some substance to it. MF was great, but WT and TTD aren't really what I consider true coasters. Sure they've got speed and height, but that's about all they have. What happened to actually going somewhere?

Is that a joke? It better be with how hard I'm laughing right now.

I think the only joke here is this ridiculous thread. :)

Actually, I believe they painted the WWL boats this year, so maybe it's going to hang around. I think CP needs rides like WWL. I'd be sad to see it go.
