^^omg thank you for whoever posted this finally someone else besides me who actually knows what a good wooden roller coaster is!!!!!mean streak cannot even compare!!!

I was pretty upset about the trims. I remember loving it the first time I was on it (back in the day). It's probably my 4th or 5th overall as far as woodies are concerned.

If you ever get the chance to ride Renegade...do it.

Sunday, Labor Day weekend, around like 3. Still, that's long for MS.

HAHA! I would have to agree with Dvo. Not much can top Millennium Force. I'm just waiting for the next "Tallest And Fastest Rollercoaster In The World." I'm hoping it will be closer to home than TTD and Kingda Ka (spellcheck?). The new premiere ride here is Griffon. LAME!! I haven't ever been so dissapointed in a ride. (Mean Streak not included) It is such a ripoff of SheiKra. Sheikra is ten times better. Mean Streak should either be torn down or have the trims taken off until it is no longer safe to ride... then torn down.

Disaster Transport is not going nowhere because its indoor roller coaster they are not going to tear down Disaster Transport to put in wood coaster in the spot. Cedar point is not lose any roller coasters at Cedar Point and blue streak is a landmark at Cedar point its our oldest roller coaster at Cedar point.

Just because it is indoors doesn't make Disaster Transport immune. If they could replace it with something of the same class (a family coaster that everyone can ride) then I'm sure they would. Of course then everyone here would complain that its replacement isn't a 500 foot, 23 inversion, 184 mph uber-coaster.

Back on topic... No one said anything about taking down Blue Streak. And Jugga is right... Just because DT is in a building makes no difference at all. Fact is, it's a heap of junk that they've tried and failed to improve over the years. And now they're selling 3D glasses so you can see pitch darkness in 3D..................

Mean Streak had a long line on that Saturday, because the park was packed. Maverick didn't have as big of an effect on Mean Streak as you make it out to be.

Is anybody else shaking their head at some of this discussion?

By the way, TTD120 and a few others (J. Hammond I saw you again as well), that was me in the line for Mean Streak. I made a joke to TTD120 about having a Top Thrill Bathroom...but seeing as how you probably had no clue who I was it didnt go over to well ;)

i've always liked the mean streak; it's a classic. I just hate that huge hill right when youre going down, that brake annoys the heck outta me. It like stops and I'm about to fall out... dont know if im even explaining this right. haha, catch my drift ?

We catch it all right. It's that brake that has ruined the entire ride. It wasn't always there...
