Here I thought you meant to put "then". But, you're right. It's way easier to accidentally type "the" instead of "and". I do that ALL the time. :)

Maybe I did mean "then". I don't even remember. I hate Monday mornings.

Where are the New pieces of the Track are sitting at, because I am going to the Park today. Do you think it will be busy all through the day like the TOP Big Rides?

Rippin said:
Just wanted to let you know that the new track is onsite and is being installed either today or on Tuesday.

The Sandusky Register article from Saturday said the track was still being fabricated over in Sweden: http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2007/05/19/front/284730.txt

So who has their facts messed up?

Well, Rippin also said the park would be making an announcement today. Still time left today, but I'm still skeptical.

I highly doubt that Rippin is right, but nonetheless if Cedar Point is still planning on getting Mavy open by early June, they should be installing the new pieces very soon to allow for more testing. Do you think they'll need to do another pull-through to make sure clearance is acceptable?

Probably, but only on that section. The pull through will also ensure that the sections are aligned properly. But because its a very short section that needs to be tested, it shouldn't take very long for them to pull a train up through it.

Do you mean "when" the second track arrives? ;)

Does that mean they already have one section on site?

No, he means "once" track arrives, they'll blog about it. Which probably means there is no track on-site yet.

When I asked for Rippin's source, he sent me a very polite PM with his source and reasoning. Although questionable, I don't think we should fully bash him. It appears to me, that if the track doesn't start getting installed today or tomorrow, his source was the one who had the facts mixed up, and if I was in Rippin's shoes, I may have believed him too.

I've heard from like four or five "reputable" people that track was on-site. But, I've yet to see anything. So, either the sources aren't reputable anymore (they always have been) or the track is being held in an off-site warehouse until the site is ready for them. Or, people feeding the sources with information are doing so on purpose to see how many people hear the stories. LOL!!

peacetrain,
They can always change the hight requirement in the future. In 2000, Millennium Force had a taller height requirement than it does today. I can't remember exactally what it was, but 54" comes to mind.

Yes it was 54". On the Cedar Point "World's Largest Amusement Park" show on the discovery channel the guy working at Millennium said he was looking for people at or above 54".
