Black supports, Silver ties and rails, and Light Brown Spine. And to top it off, giving it a rustic theme by making the supports and track look rusted and old.
I have another unrelated idea... I think it'd be cool if they re-painted Raptor, Millennium Force and TTD painted pearlescent, you know, with the shifting colours(you look at it one-way and it's blue/green/red, look at it another way, it's orenge/black/blue/red/green/yellow/purple...)
That would be awsome...

How long does it take for a company to manufacture all the track necessary for a ride the size of say...Millenium...or Magnum? From the day the first peice of track rolls off the "line" to the last...what kind of time-frame are we looking at?
I would love if CP made a documentary about the new ride. From day one (initial meetings) to opening day 2007. Which would mean we would see video from back in 2004...maybe during offseason, of Kinzel look at plans, etc...then choosing....then WWL going...and so on.
I think that some have really taken the "old west and Americana" theme a little too far and have become broken records about this 500 foot idea..

Suprise! Is this what you imagined your coaster would look like....or have I completely messed it up?:) (sorry but the pics are a bit blurry)
layout
looking south
loop, dive loop, zero G roll, int corkscrews in distance and the pretzle loop.
Jo Jo rolls
interlocking corkscrews
I must point out that I had to change your original layout plans a bit.
P.S. This didnt take me long to make so I dont want to here anyone say I have too much time on my hands, or I need to get outside, or something....it's one of my hobbies and it helps me relax.:)

That would be an amazing guess if that turns out to be the real layout. *** Edited 2/9/2006 4:48:14 AM UTC by RICHARD LYMAN***
Screamomatic, I love the colour scheme you came up with (along with the layout, props to you TTD 120mph for the visual). The black, silver, and brown sounds good to me. The changing of the paint to Millennium, TTD, and Raptor may be going a bit too far.
As for the woodie, I am a supporter of it going anywhere in the park. But the most realistic idea is for the 'record breaker' in the WWL site and a new woodie up front in the future.
I can't wait until this season starts!

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Ooops, the turn after the Z-G-Roll exits to the left, not the right, my bad.
That looks cool though, I would suggest buying a copy of No Limits because Hyper Rails sucks...
Oh, and making the track for a coaster takes probably a year, a little less if there are lots of people working on it.
That would be funky if that was the layout, given it will be a Floorless coaster.
Hey, this is what it looked like in my mind, more or less, you know, it's kinda hard to draw it in paint... As you can see, they may even have more space to fit a flat ride or put a mass amount of trees in there.http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/3185/wwlsitetrain3po.jpg

Alright peoples, let me set the record straight.
First off, I worked Magnum AFTER the loose article policy and it still SET UP! So it happened LOOOONG before that rule was instated.
Also, Gemini does not do that because it is old. It's the photo eyes on it and they might be showing their age. But it's not just age.
I didn't even mention Woodstock Express. The tiniest of rains will shut that ride down. .. why? Because of the lift hill. If you have no idea what i'm taking about look at the pictures.
Also, how do we know for SURE that Cedar Fair bought the rights to the name Maverick for Cedar Point's new coaster. Also, don't assume that it's for this because they have how many other parks? And we all know what assuming does.

Does anyone know how to fix the hole in the bucket?
I'm not assuming anything, I'm just having fun! I'm just trying to waste time until May 8th.

CampSnoopPsycho, you just reaffirmed my argument. What I was trying to get across is that the loose new loose article policy utilized around the park does not and cannot work for Magnum. I worked there the whole year 2004 and we weren't allowed to let any riders' belongings sit on our unload platform. Last year was the first year since Magnum was built that the employees were required to allow loose articles to be placed on the unload side of the platform, and it spelled disaster as fas as operations go.
It's just a rule that shouldn't be the same throughout the park because of the different loading/unloading scenarios on different rides. The fact that Park Op didn't put more consideration into the decision to standardize the loose article actually concerns me...I mean they--of all people--should understand the inner workings and quirks of the individual rides.

MantisBrian, Its called Hyper Rails. It's been discontinued for quite a while now.

Believe me I know all to well. It doesn't run good....even with the new ATI Radeon card I bought back when RCT3 came out. I did try No Limits once but it was a little complex for me at the moment. I hope to get use to it like how I did for Hyper Rails.

I'm glad I could help people out.
I just get heated in these things because people really don't think sometimes. It takes me at least 5 to 10 minutes to finish typing one of these post things. You can just ask my roommate about these.
But I do know that Cedar Point does have a legal permit or something to make a coaster up to 500 feet. Will they? I doubt it. There are more than one way to break a world record. Yes, I do think they will break a record why? cause it's cedar point.
Will it be named Maverick? No idea. No clue.

Well, there are three trains in the load/unload platform in the sation after you leave it, and I would hate to have a mix up and have my sh*t stolen.
Now, if they put boxes for each train to put your sh*t in, then they might be able to work something out.

I know this goes pretty far back in the posts, but the website that C.P. Soldier posted was the same on that someone else posted to show that the 2nd page's bottom right corner caption says "Magnum XL-200", when it's the Corkscrew looping over the midway.

Maverick would fit the wild west theme at KBF and is also a popular surfing place with huge waves. Perhaps the name fits west coasters better? If it goes in CP, I think it will be a family coaster. PKI is a big draw for families and even bigger in '06. SF has jumped on this band wagon too. Skyhawk for the thrill seekers and a familiy thrill to attract the $9.95 ticket class. "grandpa, will you buy me a..."; "sure kiddo..." and the cash registers sing!
Would this be a bad time to bring up the Lake Erie Hampster Dance?
