Anybody notice the commotion going on in the Soak City parking lot? I'm sure it's probably something Soak City related.
I love the view of the front gate with the flag at half staff today (9/11). Well done CP - Never forget.

I will second that...we all should never ever forget....God Bless America!!!
I love the view of the bottom web cam today as it shows the view to the west across the bay. Wait a minute, strike that comment. The dominant feature in that view is the plumes of smoke & steam from the nuclear power plant. How lovely!
Man do CP employees get out of work at 3:30? A huge parade of cars just left the peninsula. It's fun to think about what goes on behind the scenes when the park is closed.
Maybe the construction workers at Breakers were leaving?
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
A lot of the employees in the maintenance department work a 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. shift this time of year.
Yeah it does look busy, but that's almost always the case on Saturday. On the bottom cam, it looks like TTD went down because there was a bunch of people coming out of the queue.

I had a feeling the park would be pretty packed considering the hot and relatively sunny weather today.
Anyone at the park to report on lines? Looks like Mantis had quite a line today; what an odd sight! ha
Thrills Around the Corner!
I went this weekend last year and it was super crowded as well, and the weather was no where near as nice and warm as it was today.
7:30,main midway looks crowded and Mantis platform is full of people waiting with continuous line of people going in the entrance.

There's some rain heading that way, people might be leaving in droves soon.

No Thanks. I already took my last ride when everyone was saying Mantis isn't going anywhere and there were no waits.
The park was packed full 9/20. TTD was down most of day to high winds, then after it opened for a short while, the rain rolled in around 8:30pm. Seeing the line for Mantis full was kind of weird, never usually seeing it that way!But it's good too-reminds people what other options are in the park. Exiting parking lot around 10pm was very tough slow. It took 1hr. to reach Rye Beach Rd.
Keep passing the fun along!
Where do you think the construction cam will go? It looks like they will be done painting Rougarou before Mantis even closes. And other than station modifications what else will be done there? Or do you think the construction cam will overlook the new pavilion construction?
