Anyone wanna guess how high the CP electric bills are? Surprised they keep the lights on in the park at night past labor day with them being closed during the week and all. Kinda seems like a waste, does it not?
I'm sure it's a huge utility to pay. But I also see many reason why it may be required and necessary. There are many employees still silently working behind the scenes-mechanics, security, management, corporate personnel & general labor. All getting US(the fans) & guests ready for Hallow Weekends!
Keep passing the fun along!
If they turn everything off during the week and then something goes bad (loose connection, mouse chews through wire, etc.) nobody wouold know until Friday night when they flip it all back on. It's probably just simpler to wait until the end ofthe season to shut it all down.
If you follow @tonyclark on twitter he comes up with some really good shots. You can also find him in the park with his twitter tweets. I assume he will be doing this for Halloweekends.

What's with the zoom in shot of the dodgems today... maybe they don't want us to see the secret party tonight :P
The camera is now pointed past Gatekeeper to the parking lot. Anybody know what the "stuff" is in the preferred area? My picture doesn't enlarge very much. Just curious.

I thought that was an interesting Live Cam angle. Also, the image was wiggling/jiggling the whole time. My initial reaction was that it was a clue the Dodgems was moving. Innocent speculation, that's all!
The cameras wiggle and jiggle because they are mounted on Power Tower 240 feet in the air. The wind blows faster up there and the shaking is more noticeable when the cameras are zoomed in a lot. Who knows, maybe Dodgem is moving. :)
Loving Maverick since 2007!
It looks like it.

Keep passing the fun along!
But the moonlight off the water behind WT looks neat.
You boneheads need to learn how to roll up the extension cord for the fluggegecheimen when you're done with it!
great moonlight reflection on the water.
