Live Web Cams

Watching yesterdays(and todays) live web cams, I never realized how much the TTD track vibrated. Its a very close view, unless Was the camera shaking, and my eyes playing tricks on me?

The camera does shake slightly when the Power Tower carriage is nearby...

On windy days if you look closely at the track that curves up taking it from horizontal to vertical sways a lot, more than you would think to be safe but the important thing is that there is a support where the most force is applied. Since that beam is there, one to stop the swaying is unnecessary. No a ride that shakes a lot more than it should and actually looks dangerous is CCMR.

The swaying is a necessary component of large structures in engineering. Look at Wicked Twister's north tower while you're in the queue sometime. All skyscrapers do the same thing, though it's much more difficult to notice.

If it doesn't shake, it will break.

If you sit on a bench by Witches Wheeel and watch you can see the shaking. Like Thabto said, it needs the flexibility or else it would crack.

This mornings view of the Marina sure makes the Ciders look fantastic. I hope CP can figure out how to save the trees when they take the Cedars down.

That's actually the only area I wouldn't mind seeing them completely raze. That's one of the only areas where the park can actually expand, and it would make for a very logical expansion, to boot. I think it makes sense to wipe the slate clean if they're going to do something on that scale.

When Cedars goes I actually hope they use the area for additional marina parking and leave some type of tree or other barrier between the park and the marina. Cedars does a nice job of making the marina more peaceful now. Some more out of park restaurants or bars would work also, but I'd hate so see them install rides right next to the marina.

So I'm guessing the stream cannot be found ;)

I can get the top cam now. It shows the top of Windseeker and the lake. You are not missing anything!

Certainly not an interesting shot.

I love watching the cams early in the morning. The CP staff is hard at work at 7am.

Behind Stockade Refreshments (next to the basketball game) is an employee break area.

It's pretty cool that the lights are still on tonight even though the park is closed. I had fun watching a few cars drive down the empty midway today :) Makes me think of winter and how sad I will be when the park closes for the season!

It'll be nice to watch them during the off season though. Just think, snow falling on the rides in the evening. Sweet screenshots are to be had.

Why aren't other parks doing this, I'm looking @ you KI..

thedevariouseffect, I wish I had the same mentality as you when it comes to winter, but I just hate it. I hate cold weather and snow. No thank you.

Hey I do too..For tech school I was down in Florida in Dec..60+ everyday, wore shorts, etc..Then fly here to Akron for some leave, two inches of snow on the ground, oh that sucked.
