I am actually curious if the Bleachers are removed and placed in storage every year, someone else told me that and I don't quite understand why the park would spend that time to do so. They are similar to stands used in many venues in the city I live in (baseball/football) and similar sized, but have not been removed at any point and show no damage or wear from the weather even after more then a decade.
Pure speculation, but it's early, nothing to do for an hour, and so it will go.
They may not technically own them. They could be leasing them from some company and thus they go away. They might have some permit issue that holds they can't have permanent seating or else the area is considered something other than a midway with a stage. Crazy, but I can see how taxes or some other issue could arise with permanent seats at an outdoor “concert” venue. Might also be Union issues to consider on that front.
Plus they could simply be looking at the thought that they could expand to a larger bleachers if the crowds warrant it and what they’ve been putting up is temporary until that plan is finalized……such as tearing down GTT or something else and revamping the venue. The cost of permanent seating-owned by the park, could cost more with footers and so forth, than just renting them a few years.

The bleachers are leased from an outside company, or at least they have an outside company do the installation and removal.
Also the bleachers were removed within weeks of closing day. They were gone long before they announced the destruction of Good Time Theater.
I do know that by removing them that allows easy access to the "back stage" portion for live E to strike the stage. And also for foods and maintenance to gain access for different reasons.

Lots of dirt being delivered and moved around. They are raising the level of the ground to be even with the new first floor entry. Lots of gravel around the foundation first. It appears that they raised the area by about 3-4 feet. Also lots of lumber being off loaded as well. That second floor build out is underway!
I really enjoy watching the transition of Breakers. Best off season camera angle to date. Now if they would just leave one of the others pointed at the GTT so we could watch it come down...
