Well said. They should be replaced no matter what their "title" is if they are not even trying to do their job(s) properly. I am sure Ralph will take care of any issues that need to be attended to as he takes his job quite seriously.
Well, since most Ride Prides only work 1 weekend (correct me if I'm wrong), there's not much that CAN be done. They are mostly college groups that are doing it as a fundraiser. So yes, they are getting "paid".
Most of them do a decent job, but others are just there to put in their 4 hours or whatever so they can go have fun in the park. It sucks, but not much the park can do.

Id just like to point out guys I'm really hoping you all have a good time. If your a reader reading this who is thinking about going. Definetly go, we want you to be there, we need you to be there. See for yourself this is one of the best haunted theme park you will find anywere.
Ok, as far as the mermaids go. they were not and are never going to be screamsters. They were volunteers from a organization. They will only be there that weekend.

STILL NOBODY HEARS THAT I HAD A GOOD TIME!!! I was only answering the asked question of this topic!! I juse explained one thing that could be improved!!
It's not all about you. Welcome to the Internet, where conversations frequently don't go the way you want them to.
And clean up the spelling and grammar or no one will take you seriously.

Oh no you won't take me seriously! What will i ever do? Well since you are talking directly at me, i guess it is about me.
^ I see that you joined PointBuzz in 07. But with only 20 posts, I still consider you fairly new. I am not sure if you know this or not, but Jeff is a moderator here. This is his home. And if he doesn't like what you have to say, or if you are not following by the forum guidelines, he can easily delete your account.
So what will you ever do? Well if you like posting here, I suggest you follow by the rules. Or you can go to one of the other CP forums. Which I have visited, and are not as nearly nice as this one.
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
I'm not breaking the rules. As far as if he dosn't like what i have to say he can delete my account? That kinda sounds like a dictatorship.I have not used abusive language or demeaned anybody on here.If i am guilty of anything it would be a differance of opinion or mabe a little bit of sarcasm.
You are breaking the rules. You are deliberately using bad grammar. And by saying, "If he doesn't like what you have to say, he can delete your account...", I meant this: You are sitting here, using bad grammar, and basically saying TO THE MODERATOR, "What are you going to do about it?"
I was just trying to help. Take a freakin chill pill.
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
However jesz i do appreciate your point of view and do respect you.You are one of the people here that actually read what i posted so thank you.
I'm not upset at all. Just because i'm not great at spelling or proper use of punctuation that my opinion does not count? Or that my opinion should be taken away? Im sorry i just don't understand that.Has anyone ever listened to our president? His english is not proper and i believe he went to yale.

Check Here. I'm not sure how much updating he did, but that's probably a good start.
Goodbye MrScott

Last night was great! Perfect weather, most rides were walk ons and not much wind so the fog was intense especially in Fear Faire where a couple spots I could not see right in front of me!
My self and a small group visited the park this weekend, and I was overall impressed with the efforts this year. We did all of the houses and walkthroughs, with the exception of URDade. The weather was GREAT, Friday and Sunday were virtual walk-ons to most rides. Saturday was very crowded, but gave us a chance to do some of the non-coaster activities. As far as the haunted stuff:
When we went throught Terror Island on Friday night, and Club Blood / Pharoahs on Sunday during the day; they were basically empty of patrons with the exception of my group of 3 or 4. Kinda like VIP haunts just for us! Of course that allowed the attention to be focused on my group so our experience may be somewhat tainted.
The length of terror island was impressive, as well as some very creative use of lighting in certain areas. Props seemed minimal, but there was a lot of 'teamwork' among the screamsters which ended up being very effective in scaring the members of my group. And the pirate up in the tree asking if we had a little 'Captain in use was quite amusing :) - On a side note, riding Millenium at night with the fog and lights from the island was INCREDIBLE. I think the lights and whatnot should be a permanent improvement to the island!
Club blood was interesting, very good themeing and lighting, although I have to think it would have been better with more patrons inside. It just felt a little 'empty' with just our group of 4 going through, and with the large number of vamps hanging around more patrons would have completed the area. Oh and a quick 'how you doin' to the cage girls ;)
Pharaoh's seemed to be a bit better this year than previous years, so hats off to the efforts all around. Cornstalkers was a HUGE improvement over Werewolf Canyon, and the corn outfits were top notch. There did seem to be quite a few people out of place in this one, and the patrons walking through bunched up a lot, but we hit it during peak hours. Maybe just alittle more crowd / flow control to make things better. Cheers to the toilet guy though, wasn't expecting that! I even jumped a few times and that usually doesn't happen.:)
Keep up the good work everyone, hopefully I will be able to return again before the end of the year to give everything a once more through!
My thoughts on the Haunts this past weekend...
Friday 9/19
Cornstalkers - Awesome use of corn camouflage happening in there that offers a lot of potential. We were sent into the attraction as a crowd of about 16 and unfortunately the only people the actors attempted to scare were the 3 young girls at the front of the group. Hopefully as the season goes on those performers will learn that you have to hold back and pay some attention to the other folks walking through. Otherwise there's going to be a lot of let down people coming out of the attraction (as there was during my trip). Another way I could see improving would be to add some sound system along the route. Scary music goes a long way in building suspense.
CarnEvil - Not much I can say for this one. Our group walked from one end to the other without any Screamsters attempting to scare us. Weird, a trend was starting to emerge. Were the Screamsters only interested in scaring little middle school girls tonight?
Terror Island - What a long walk around the island! A few new scare effects are being used on Terror Island that really impressed me. Finally we had a few moments out there that offered up some good startling moments.
Nights of Darkness (Red Garter Show) - Wow! This was a packed house and the beer taps were pouring non-stop. I recommend arriving early for this show if you want to have a seat. One of my big problems with shows in the Garter is the sound level. The drawback of having a live band is that it sometimes over powers the vocals from the performers. That wasn't the case at all Friday night. The sound was perfect and the song selection was more popular then ever. This was the first time I've witnessed singing along by the audience that was drowning out the performance vocals. Did I mention there was a lot of beer being drinking happening?
Sunday 9/21
Black Cat (Trio of Terror) - It was freezing in the theater so I found it hard to focus on what I was hearing. Instead I spent the majority of the time rubbing my arms and legs for warmth. Maybe that is why the rows or seats are packed so close together. Perhaps we were suppose to create our own body warmth that way.
The new venue didn't disappoint aside from the temperature. The actors performance was great (as expected) and I would have liked to stick around for the Raven, but icicles had begun to form.
Club Blood - The haunted attractions are only as good as the scare actors inside. That being said, CP needs to book this group of volunteers solid till the end of the season! Granted it was a Sunday and our little group of 3 were probably the only ones in the haunt, but they performed awesome. I went in with low expectations because usually by Sunday these groups have had enough and the visitors usually end up catching the monsters by surprise. Not the case in this haunt. Every single monster was in place and eagerly waiting to frighten our group to death. I saw some very impressive team work distracton tacktics being used that normally only come from seasoned Screamsters.
Undertaker U - Repeat of the above situation. Great efforts put forth by these volunteers. These are still volunteers manning these houses, right? I would love to have these guys every weekend.
What a surprise and/or letdown that the best scares on this trip came from the weekend volunteer group(s). My apoligese to the Screamsters here, but the volunteer groups in the houses owned it this weekend. Maybe this was just a fluke. I can't believe I didn't get a chance to visit my old stomping grounds and hiding spots in the FrightZone. There's always next weekend though.

This year the houses do have a few employed Screamsters in each one, but they are still mostly the volunteer groups. I've heard nothing but praise for the group that was working last weekend, especially the ones in Pharaoh's Secret.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I'm a Screamster/mermaid on TI- There are 2 of us. The night we couldn't have lights & fog- we also had 2 additional "fundraising" mermaids......... I was also disgusted that they sat and chatted almost the entire evening............it made the whole zone look even worse. I thought something should have been done! (maybe it wasn't the best place to put fundraisers) It's hard enough to be a scary mermaid - but the other mermaid and I have tried our best to come up with a scheme. We got alot of great scares Sat. 9/20... but it involved us getting up off the rocks and then some people would say, "Mermaids don't walk!" My favorite comment, though was, "FISHALICIOUS!!!" Whatever........
OH yeah! The dinosauer HAS to go! ! ! !
