Halloweekends...

You'd be more than welcome to visit Richie..

So now there are a few employed Screamsters in the houses and a few volunteers as mermaids on the island. Are there volunteers in any of the other outdoor haunts? Who's staffing Cornstalkers?

And when did the houses stop opening with the park? It seems like I can remember them being open earlier than 5pm or 1pm in the past. Maybe I'm completely wrong and they've always opened late, but I swear I can remember picking up extra house inside Undertaker U before starting my FrightZone shift.

Club Blood has the most full time Screamsters then any other house. I think they have something like 20 or so actors aside from a volunteer group. And Richie, you are welcome back anytime in the Zone. It would be nice having some more "old schoolers" out there.

haha no reviews on fear faire hmmm should I take it personal.

Nights of Darkness... I recommend arriving early for this show if you want to have a seat.

Well perhaps if the middle-aged men with video cameras in the front row would get their creepy asses up there would be more places to sit. Seriously, why does the park tolerate those guys, and how many times do they have to sit there before some gets a restraining order?

Thank you "Ralph Wiggum" for the complement about the groups that worked in Pharaoh's Secret this past weekend. I was one of the people volunteering and working my butt off to scare as many people as possible. I was extremely happy to have all the wonderful comments from CP's management this past weekend as well as guests that were in the house and saw us outside on our breaks.

If someone has the information about which house won the “Best House” for the past weekend, please let me know. I know my guys would love to find out if Pharaoh's Secret ended up getting it.

I wrote a little TR about this past weekend:

Kept it short, but if anyone has any questions, please ask. We were scheduled to be back for another weekend, but had to cancel due to some university events.

It sounds like everyone had a great time this past weekend! That is awesome. I believe i will be going back next weekend to have some more fun. I really like hearing from the screamsters lurking around here.

I think a cool effect in CarnEvil would be to take the waterfall that has Snoopy on top of it and make the water look red, kind of like its pouring blood out. Just a thought.

I thought this last weekend went real well at Terror Island. Most of us, I'd say, has the character part down. I think overall we need to improve on our scare tactics, timing, and who we pick to scare. I want more people to realize and understand that we can not scare every single person that comes through, though. There were several times Saturday night that a very large crowd would come in at once, and you're going to easily miss a lot of people. It's hard to scare a very large group in one very small setting at different areas. And it's not like you can go back in your hiding spot only to jump right out of it, because they'll see you no matter what.

Going out to the Island at around 8pm on Saturday was a lot of fun, though. We went through the exit of Paddlewheel (we usually just go through the regular entrance). Going the exit way pumped me up though, because you do the border of the station. On saturday night, that whole station was filled up, screaming and ready to go. I felt like I was running out of that long tunnel headed into a very large football stadium. Just made me feel good.

Jeff, the group you mentioned was actually taking up the two best tables at the front (of course). To their credit, I noticed they all had purchased multiple drinks, popcorn and other food stuff. I suppose that's ultimately all the park is really concerned about for the most part. And no comment on the creepy restraining order part of your comment, but I get what you are saying. Lol.

Rob, 99er and others. Thanks for the sentiment. I'd love to come back and join the Screamsters, but then I wouldn't be able to visit all of the other fun Halloween events going on in parks this time of year. I actually wanted to go to boo buzz, but a bride booked a wedding with us and I lost my free time that weekend to work. I can't afford to loose anymore weekends. Hopefully I'll be able to visit the park again this Friday night.

I am going to Halloweekends tomorrow and I was wondering what haunted houses or fear zones I should do first? Four hours of the haunted things open just doesn't seem like enough time to do them all. But since it's a friday will that make a difference?

Ride the rides....

Being Friday, it will make a difference. Friday crowds are usually much smaller. I went last Friday and got through all the zones and all the haunted housed between 8;00 and 11:00 PM. If you include rides, you probably won't get through all the haunted stuff.

Why ride coasters? Becuse there is NOTHING better to do than riding a coaster!

^Okay thanks. But I was planning on getting all the rides I want to ride done before 8pm. I am a Platinum Pass holder so I will start riding at 5pm.

In general:

-Hit Cornstalkers when it opens, or better pre queue before, that will be your biggest bottleneck

-Frontiertown will be the most croweded section of the park, if you must do UR Dade, be there at opening

-The front of the park will be a ghost town (figurativly and litterally) later at night, go there last. Last year on a Friday Raptor was a walk on, as was the two houses up front at about 10pm at night.

hey there fellow screamsters! just poppin in to say you all are doin a great job, keep up the good work (Terror island guys and gals check the terror island post and read mine). Congrats to CarnEvil for takin the trophy last week. you guys are kickin some ace out there. Fright zone you guys are awesome. i wanted to be a slider this year, but hopefully next year. sorry though, but CarnEvil and Terror Island will be keeping that trophy from coming to you. Cornstalkers, great job. i know it's harder to scare in your zone from what i'm told. keep up the good work. Club blood and fear faire. i hear nothing but great reviews. can't wait to walk through your zones soon. It's a little after midnight here and i've got the pre-game jitters. i can't sleep. i keep thinking of tomorrows scares. can't wait to see you in the zones!!

You know what is pissing me off is that the Dragster's Web Cam is not changing. I know why too, so people won't see the PARKING LOT so FILLED UP. When it is like that many families will think not to come on SATURDAYS during Halloweekends. Last yr OCT 20th on a Sat; the Parking Lot was Filled and cars were parking on the CHAUSEE, and there probably was over 60,000 people in the PARK.

First, the popular web cam conspiracy was that Cedar Point didn't want people to see an empty parking lot. Now the web cam fails because they don't want people to see a full parking lot (because they're trying to fool the 5 people who use it for spontaneous trips).

I don't think a tin foil hat is strong enough.

Is there a way to make the tin foil hat stronger?
