Halloweekends...

^^I noticed the other day that the cam was blurry, I would assume it has something to do with that.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I love Halloweekends, but I went to Kings Island this past weekend and you talk about a Halloween event. The day was mostly focused on stuff for kids: pumkin painting, face painting, free hot chocolate, free cotton candy, and free popcorn. It was awesome. Then at night the park's haunted houses open along with the walk-thru's. Their haunted attractions were a lot better then Cedar Point's. So like I said, love Halloweekends but unfortunately Kings Island got them beat...maybe thats why John Hildebrandt was there on friday night.

^In general my thoughts on KI vs CP are:

KI has better:
-Indoor Houses, they are manned by screamsters
-Fog, fog is virtually everywhere, the only place I remember no fog is on the Beast's back woods section
-Themeing, haunt stuff is everywhere, and spooky music is everywhere

CP has better:
-Scarezones, the cream of the crop for CP and at KI you have to wait in line for them, not to mention they are much smaller with the exception of the Trail of Terror
-Crowd control, even on a Saturday I can enjoy myself at Halloweekends and get some decent riding done, while at KI Sat days are pretty light, come nightfall there is just way too many people around, I could not wait to leave around 9:00 having only accomplished doing one house and a front row ride on the Beast since 6:30 that night

That is based purely on last year though, my trips start this weekend. Ill be at CP this Sunday, KI next Friday and Saturday, CP the Friday after and perhaps Ill go to closing day at CP as well.

Do you think the Park will busy tonight with all the High School Football Games Teams Playing?

in general friday nights arent that busy

Speaking of busy...Does anyone remember how busy the Sunday before Columbus day was last year? Figures the Sunday I pick to take my son is the one they are open latter for.

We have been going the last couple of years on the Sunday of Columbus day weekend. The crowds were moderate, not packed, but not empty either. I think last year the longest we waited for any ride was about 45 minutes for Maverick and 30 minutes for MF. Some of the smaller rides (Gemini, Wicked Twister) were walk on or under 15 minutes. The outdoor zones fright zones weren't too crowded either

I was able to get over to the Point two weekends ago on a Friday night and I could see my car from the entrance of the park at 7pm. My longest wait was only 20 minutes for the front seat on the last train of the night on Millennium Force.

Wow, I'm looking at the Dragster webcam right now. The park is PACKED today! Nothing like a full queue spilling out into the dragster midway to take up half the day.

Just by looking at the parking lot,the park is full to capasity,im glad i went 2 weeks ago, when the queue is full on dragster midway thats over 3 hour wait

We were there yesterday and it was very busy. At one point Mean Streak had over a 1.5 hour wait. We were able to do fit in a lot still. My son cleard the 48in mark so he got some new rides in...everything but Millennium. And he loved the fright zones which surprised me. Great job by the Scream masters to know when to not push it. overall a great day but a ton of people.

Maybe the drop in gas prices?

We didn't get there until 3pm and had to park in the grass out across Cedar Point Rd. By the time darkness set in and we were hitting The Fright Zone we were stepping on eachother's feet most of the way through it and on top of one another squeezing through the arches at either end.

Corn Stalkers was a solid hour and 1/2, hour and 3/4 wait. Walked up to Club Blood to end our night but the que was backed up almost onto the midway. We didn't feel like waiting another 90 plus minutes and rode a couple flat rides before heading out.

Worth it? Duh.....it's Cedar Point!

How much more weight loss will it take to get on Raptor, Mantis, MF and TTD?

Anybody know where the robot (Dave) ended up?

I thought it was going to be in the midway market as theming, but there was no sign of him.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I been there twice so far and the second time was better.
Got some good pictures. I pretty muched like it all. I am a big
Halloween fan anywho. I have a picture of this screamster.
www.myspace.com/melm1974...... he did a great job, great outfit.
Btw, if you are him and you see this, HI again!!!!
I love the will scare 4 beer guy!

I agree, but what sux is that some of the rides aren't open.

S.T.A. - died with the Fright Zone

Yesterday morning one of the games employees was commenting on how quiet things were at that time compared to the crowd of Saturday. He told me there were 61,000 at CP on Saturday. I don't know if that number is correct or not, but it was jammed. You could tell early it would be packed. The line for TTD was from the entrance to it's station more than 1/2 hour before the park officially opened. Anytime you get 75 degrees and no chance of rain on a HW Saturday the crowd will be huge. I'm told the resorts were sold out too.
