What do you mean by that

Woah. Blood on the Bayou. My guess is you go around and zombies, swamp monsters, and different animal theme screamsters come out. (It would be really cool to see some monsters come out of the Iron Dragon's Lagoon). And I heard that they use to have a Haunted Attraction dealing with the train awhile ago, but they took it out due to safety issues. My guess the "Machine" theme will be an old plant that makes machines (old, creepy, and empty now), and go into a robot/future theme. It will be very intresting to see where that one is located.

By the way, "Blood on the Bayou" was Canada's Wonderland "All New" Haunted Attraction last year for 2010. From what I heard, it is pretty good and scary. You go in and out of houses in very dense fog to make it seem like a real swamp. The quote describing Canada's Wonderland's Blood on the Bayou includes:

"Residents along the Louisiana bayou have long been warned not to venture too far from the water’s edge; beyond the opulent river mansions lies a mysterious, twisted world where curses are whispered in the dark and no one ever makes it back to shore. Those who go too far are soon driven mad with fear and bloodlust so be cautious – there’s no telling what you could wake in the Bayou."

Sounds like Scooby Doo on Zombie Island. :)

HOLY COW!!! I am so pumped about these attractions!

While I love the idea of a train-ride with screamsters, I see that being a huge liability considering that the train has no side-rails or supports.

I can see it now:

Screamster: "Boo!"

Guest: 'AHHH!!!' then proceeds to fall out of train and get dismembered as the train runs over them.

That would certainly help with the crowds.

Well, if it improves capacity...

what do I mean? I mean that it's got nothing to do with the train like they did way back when, and that there is no need to look for the location of it because fright zone is getting an overhaul.

I am guessing that they will either add a new fright zone or change the location/theme of an existing one?

Too bad we will never know considering that Halloweekends.com is never going to be put up!!

You read my mind! That was the first thing that came to my mind. Now we shall wait to see if there are a lot of cat/human screamsters...:]

They are getting rid of Fright Zone? They can't get rid of it! It is so classic! I saw the skull still in storage and they brought it out while they were working on the new Bayou houses, so maybe it will be moved to a new location? Hopefully. I mean I do not really understand the new Machine theme. Sounds more like a haunted house to me, like Happy Jacks.

^^The logo on the new machine house looks like the same one has happy jacks. Like the skeleton head on the logo.

Maybe the machine thing going in where the Assylum is.

Weren't there a lot of complaints about that house last year? Something about sending a bad message towards the mentally unstable..? I think I read somewhere about that.

So I believe that the manical screamworks or whatever will go there if CP was to replace a house.

Or maybe it would replace Club Blood, but I think taking out the asylum would make more sense to me.

I hope they don't take out the Fright Zone. I really like it.

Getting rid of the Fright Zone would be a bad idea.... I think it's the best of the outdoor zones.

Bad news. It has been confirmed by a halloweekends worker that the new Screamworks will replace Fright Zone. I can understand why Cedar Point would do it. If you look at all of the other zones, Fright Zone was the only walk through/haunted house that did not have a strict theme to it. It was just a bunch of random costumes, add some fog and lights, and BAM! A wonderful walk through. But now that I think of it, maybe the new theme will have much more decorations to it, making the enviornment better. It will be the same path, so it might not be totally different from Fright Zone. I am just going to miss that Big Skull making some witty jokes at the people below. Ahh good times. Do you have any ideas what kind of props or costumes might be in Manical Mechanical Screamworks? Maybe they just produce monsters?

Edit: I feel as if Club Blood would be a better place for the Screamworks Haunted Attraction.

lol thats what I was saying. you were looking to hard for a house, and that the fright zone overhaul was the new "zone" the fright zone is going to have a lot of changes, as the sign says, think steam. the name "fright zone" no longer exists, some of it may transfer over and obviously the area still has some built in frontier trail theme-ing but fright zone as we know it is dead.

I don't think the Asylum is going anywhere. It had queue wait times up to 2 hours for its premiere season.

I need a little clarification on one of the haunts. Is the train going to be used for a haunt this year? I thought that was mentioned a page or 2 back, and that would be indeed amazing.

Whew! I am so glad they are not replacing the asylum :)

I love that haunted house! That's my fav indoor one, terror island is my favorite outdoor one :)

asylum was just new last year, it will be around awhile, and coolkid, no. the train isn't being used.

Although it would be a huge safety issue, the train would be cool to use..

They should at least add some lighting and some fog.

My fave outdoor is also terror island. But my favorite indoor is a tie between happy jack and eerie estate
