Front Gate Destruction/Construction

I've heard that.

I can see what they mean, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It's different, but it's also a very enjoyable (and unique) experience in my opinion.

Concrete starting to go into the towers this morning.

Does anyone know how far apart the towers are? They seem pretty close in the front gate cam.

Based on the rendering, they are about as far apart as the old entrance was wide. I know this may back an over analysis of the photo. But, it looks like there will be 9 or 10 seperate scaning sections. Probably with 2 scanners each. Based on that, I'd say the towers are about 50 feet apart.

It looks as if they installed a catwalk above the towers. Is that temporary or is that going to be part of the tower structure?

It's going to be the roof.

It appears that it's for the construction workers to their little turns on the catwalk. Yeah on the catwalk, on the catwalk yeah. Do their little turns on the catwalk.

It's basically there so they don't have to constantly climb down and then climb back up the other pillar.

^Yep. They only have to climb down 80' instead of 100' ;)

So wait. The whole structure is 100 feet? That must mean the key holes aren't that big themselves right?

The concrete bases are 20 ft tall and the towers are 80 ft tall, so the final structure is 100 ft tall.

^^Have you seen the pictures of the keyholes Shawn? They're 80 feet of MASSIVE, beautifully engineered, steel! :)

Anything happen at the front gate today? By the way I did see the pictures guys. I saw the video yesterday as well. You are guys are right, those things are huge! I was just confused of the overall keyhole height. The way I was thinking, I thought the foundation was 20 feet and the keyholes that are coming soon was 100 feet.

I find it hard to believe that from sunrise to sunset everyday you have no time to check the webcams Shawn. No question is a dumb question but some you can answer yourself, if something has happened most likely it's been talked about either on here or Facebook, Twitter, etc. and if it's anything spectacular there's probably pictures.
