How would they tease that though because everyone already knows about it. Or do you just mean that everyone would have the chance to see the renovations.
They likely just meant the hotel renovations and Rougarou construction. There's no way they will tease something beyond that. The park isn't even open for the 2015 season yet.

I was thinking they might tease something, but I'm sure nothing will be "announced."
Why would they want to tease something for the future when the park isn't even open for the season yet? It doesn't make any sense.

Because it gets people talking and Cedar Fair has seemed to like teasing the last few years, though I do agree that it is early.
It gets people talking, but you don't want to tease too far out. I think teasing 2016 already would cause a negative impact on this season. If someone was planning a trip this year and found out that something better was possibly coming in 2016, they might just wait until next year instead of going this year.
Around June or July is when the teasing and speculation usually begins. Anytime Tony posts something, everyone goes wild with speculation. Tony could even post a picture of his lunch or his car and people will think it means something.

Maverick was teased for a while i believe. It was a multi year project

Ride Operations- Professor Delbert’s Frontier Fling
Something tells me that TTD especially, was a special case considering the fact it was basically the first of its kind to the extent that Cedar Point took it.
Tony was very emphatic about the "you will want to be here next year." He didn't just state it matter of factly. Though bear in mind this was a year ago, so what he thought he might divluge might no longer be divulgable for whatever reasons.
Prep work for 2016 might start now so they don't have to worry about shutting (an) attraction(s) down mid way through the season. If 2016 involves the Blue Streak midway, there are a lot of possibilities in terms of what might need removed or added. It seems like it might be something big.
I honestly would love to see a dive coaster. That would be a great addition to Cedar Point. But, most of all, I would love to see a height and/or speed record breaker. It would be really cool to see what CP could do with a 500 footer, perhaps piggybacking on Dragster's structure? What about actually building a building, and using that as support for the coaster?

Absolutely not! That would cause more downtime and capacity issues for TTD like Kingda Ka's drop tower did. Besides, that would look horrible and TTD is an icon in the park. It's structure should be left alone.

I would have to agree that they should leave TTD alone. And I hardly care if they get a 500 footer, especially if it would be a polar-coaster. I have said it once and I will say it again. Those things are hideous. But a dive coaster is on the top of my wish list.
I'm not a complainer and generally happy with anything they add each year, even if I do not like the kind of ride they choose to install. I just would like to see some better food, improved rooms for the price they charge which is being done, and clean latrines. There are a few rides that I think would be possible additions over the next 5 years. I feel that a large woodie would look fantastic in the area that is being cleared. It would look great if they can keep the old feel of that entrance, caddy cars, etc. Maybe even create the new midway through part of the structure.
Other possibilities that come to mind are a new Wildcat type coaster on the stadium site, a dark ride where the point pavilion sits, an observation tower on the land that Scrambler and the old Trabant sits, a classic log flume on Milly island using the Paddlewheel station, a Meanstreak RMC redo, some sort of new flat and small midway between Mean streak and Gemini, and bringing the 2 challenge park rides into the park with a Soak City expansion. I also think a massive coaster will be added in 2020, but I am not sure where. Maybe and out an back up the bay to the parking lot entrance. Not sure where a station would go with that scenario.
Calypso would look great refurbished and put behind the Coliseum, and Scrambler would look good on that midway too. The old PR building could be torn down and a flat relocated there also
Latrines! It has been a long time since I've heard that term. I don't think I've ever heard a civilian restroom referred to as a latrine.
My grandfather, who used to walk around cedar point once a week into his late 80s, used to call them that. It stuck with me. He also said latrine when he told me a story that happened around 2000 or so. He had a bad experience with a dish called Miners Stew at his favorite restaurant the Chuck Wagon. He said he shuffled to the latrine in the comfort station right by to solve his problem. Apparently, there was no toilet paper, so he flushed his shorts.
Latrines are for military people.
In the amusement industry, the word is "donniker".

Just so you guys know, it's a Poler Coaster (because it's wrapped around a pole), not a Polar Coaster (no relation to polar bears). And how is it not a real roller coaster? It's more so one than Dragster! Inversions, multiple drops and hills, continuous circuit, powered by gravity... I agree Cedar Point probably won't get one, but because of the price tag, not because of the look ($200 million for the one in Orlando). Poler Coasters are very appealing for companies that are tight on space (like Cedar Point) because it's almost all vertical, includes an observation tower that can be outfitted with whatever (bar, restaurant, museum, whatever!) and a ground floor to be filled in by whatever (a dark ride, several shops/restaurants, indoor flats, games, etc!). I think if it could be built at Cedar Point, it would fit in well and be home to a number of attractions, but it almost certainly won't (unless Cedar Point wants to give up on building anything new for the next twenty years).

My opinion: 1) No, aren't they still using the stadium? Why take out two large entertainment buildings within five years? 2) Yes, that could work very well for the expected eventual dark ride. 3) I don't know about an observation tower, since they have WindSeeker, but then again, there are those who won't/can't ride it... 4) You already have a flume on part of Adventure Island, and it is great compared to many parks' flumes! 5) Seems likely, though I really don't like RMC hybrids (I just don't like inversions supported by wood structures). And everything else sounds amazing! I would love to see a path with a flat or two between Gemini and Mean Streak (though it would be a fairly long path, Sling Shot kind of eliminates the possibility, and I think they use that area for maintenance access?), and moving the Challenge Park rides is the easiest way to expand Soak City to maybe include a bowl, funnel, drop, loop, boomerango, or water coaster slide (etc.) (which really should be expanded, especially considering it's separately gated).
