1) Thats their fault that they aren't smart enough to sit on a rail.
2) Bacteria yes, but rails dont have the dirt, gum, spit, and spilled beverage all over it like the ground does. Yes the rails sometimes get spit on or has gum on it, but guess what there are a total of 4 rails you can sit on in the area, not all of them are going to be dirty.
3) So what if the slider is slow? Its not like your going to wait an extra hour if you are behind him. You are still going to end up with the same train you would have got anyways. And if the person falls once again its his own fault.
-Even if people are "smart", falling off the rails can still happen. For example, what happens if someone bumped in to the person on the rails? Even if it was the person who bumped into the person on the rails and it was their fault, the easy way to solve the problem would be not to sit on the rails.
-All the rails are VERY dirty and all of them are repulsive to even touch for a long period of time. Someone who didn't wash their hands and took a number two
before are gonna touch the rails. Even though sitting on the ground might be dirty, it is still not as dirty because peoples' body parts are not touching it bare + it is very easy to see where there is dirt, stains, etc.
-If that person fell on you, I do not think you would be happy.

Some people will try to hide the balls in the bushes too.
I'm one of those people who will find a nice spot to hide my groups bags and/or prizes. I'm not paying for a locker.
Let's Get Weird.
Also people like hiding stuff in lockers, without actually getting the locker. I often like watching people try to stuff everything for their group into a locker (hoodies, bags, purses, cameras, giant apes/dogs, pretty much everything and the kitchen sink). I think the best was when walking by Millennium seeing a giant white ape stuffed into a bush. hahah

Before I started going to CP and my final year going to a Sh Flags park-2007, That genius Mark Shapiro took away all the bins from all the coasters forcing you to rent lockers for each ride...and made a point to say park employees would be checking to see if lockers were used and not paid for-your stuff would be thrown out...ditto anything they found in the bushes...and I saw it happen-A LOT near El Toro (SF Great Adventure). I'm thankful Cedar Point has only two coasters that you have to rent a locker for but the bins are there for all the others. That's one of the nice touches that makes me love Cedar Point and why I haven't been to SF in 3 years and could care less if I ever get back to one.
Thanks for letting me know that. I'm going to Great Adventure this August and would have hid my stuff like always, but now I wont bring stuff. :)
Let's Get Weird.
I've not been to a SF park in 3 years tho, I don't know if the policy has changed, but the lockers would unlock after a certain amount of time to discourage you from renting a cheap locker for the day when they wanted you to cough up 8 or 10 bucks to rent the big lockers to put your stuff in. If your locker unlocked after the 1 or 2 hours you had and your stuff was seen, it got thrown out.
Another thing they did to force you to rent the lockers was with the ride photos. At one time, you could get a card and they'd scan it after each ride so at the end of the day you could just go get your photos. Then Shapiro must have come down with an iron fist and you HAD to buy the overpriced photo-they refused to give you the card until you bought your first photo...so you had to rent a locker to stick the pic in each time you rode a coaster. You couldn't try to bring it in the station because all the bins were torn out of each station. They used the excuse it would speed up load times but they couldn't load in a timely manner if their lives depended on it. It slowed load times big time creating longer lines! Probably another tactic to try & get you to splurge on that flash pass thing that was a total waste of money. I loved Great Adventure until Shapiro muscled his way in as CEO. But in a sense it was good...I fell in love with CP and have 17 awesome coasters to ride...no need to spend the day walking from one end of GA to the other to ride Nitro and El Toro all day.
Let me know how your trip is dude...I miss riding Nitro. Wouldn't mind getting another few rides on it but if I never do, it's no big deal.
I'm going for just those two rides. I hope to go to Holiday World the week before so I can compare El Toro and Voyage. :)
Let's Get Weird.
I know someone told me about Iron Dragon's Chain broke and just kept going until it came off,This supposedly happend when it first opend, and the funny thing was it supposeidly a past worker too! now that was funny!
Being a Ride Warrior is just not a job!
It's a way of life!!!
I have ridden the all the coasters at K.I. and C.P. that i have lost count!!!!! and it is not the amount of times i have ridden, it is just the joy of riding them for me!!!!
I was waiting in line for MF and a group of 18 - 21 year olds in front of me were talking about the Power Tower... one girl told the others abut the scalping story and about the girl that lost her feet, and claimed both happened on the Power Tower at Cedar Point. None of them believed her until she made up some phony statistics, and then the other girls in the group refused to ride the PT. The guys refused to believe any of it.
In line for MF tonight, guy in front of us is showing off the bruise on his shin. According to him, it came from Skyhawk, as he "stretched" his leg out too far and clipped the support tower as the ride swung past it. Now, I'm thinking.....Skyhawk runs in the mid 70 mph range, even if you had legs long enough to clip the tower, I'm pretty sure you'd end up with a bit more than a bruise. THEN, we see the same guy in the smoking area across from the Red Garter after we rode, telling everyone he kept his lap bar loose enough on MF that he could "lean over" the front of the train to get more air. Yes, his eyes were brown. :)
Skyhawk has white, fan-shaped shields installed on the ends of the arms closest to the supports. Out of curiosity last week I tested just such a possibility (while the ride wasn't operating, duh). Not a chance.
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
Last October my friend and I had Skyhawk to ourselves, so we sat kitty corner from each other, so on the downswing we could try to high-five.
...although it felt like we were so close each time, there was at least 5 feet in between our hands.
Maverick was a gift from Richard Kinzel for his retirement.
I'm not kidding. If I heard it right, this guy was saying that Kinzel bought himself a roller coaster for his retirement.
There are so many things wrong with that.
It seems like when I go to Cedar Point, I always get asked at Magnum, does this one go upside down? Another one I seem to get is, is this the Maverick?
This year, while waiting on Raptor's stairs, I saw an adult tell his friends he wanted to ride "that roller coaster" next, while pointing at MaXair. To the credit of his friends at least, they immediately told him he was an idiot.
Edit to add: After my first trip to Holiday World last week, I'll definitely be singing its praises from now on, but as far as the bulk* of its customers: holy cow, what an assortment of dum-dums.
*And yes, I'm implicating all meanings of that word ;)
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
One year we had a girl in line for millennium force on the ramp who didnt move up for 20 mins!! She was facing the complete other way, yaking to her friends. she turned around to see the line, which consisted of me, my friend, and other people.
Then, she faced her friends again and continued to stand for 20 more mins!
And, no one was complaining or even telling her to move up. It was the strangest thing...........

Well, these people still beat the folks you get at Six Flags Great America, so I'm not complaining.
That sure is the truth.
...Someone Saying How Six Flags Great America Blows Cedar Point Out Of the Water. Dumbest Thing I've Ever Heard.
Wow...
I can't believe there is someone out there that thinks a park other than cedarpoint is any good. The nerve....
Of course since this is a "cedarpoint" fan site, I would expect nothing less.
I am sure there is a six flags fan site out there, that talks down about cedarpoint as well.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
