I've never been there, but could definitely use some guidance from the experts.

I can guide you, but you already knew that:)

It gets insanely busy but it's easy to get through everything if you know the order in which to hit things. I don't know how well you know it 99er but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. :P

It can get very busy as you said. Plan accordingly though and you can avoid the big crowds. I have found that the first Wednesday that the event is open in October is the best. In 2009 we were able to do every house, zone, ride and show in that one night with still time left to do a few houses twice and time for dinner. We still had 3 more nights to enjoy the park after that. Last year we divided it up between Weds and Thurs. Im the way with HHN how the nerds are around here with CP. So if you have questions, just ask:)

I just got back from Magic Mountain and let me say this place doesn't even come close to competing with CP. The only ride I would take from that place is X2 which actually made my top 5 coaster list. Tatsu is also a nice coaster but still doesnt come close to any of the big rides CP has. Goliath is just terrible, Scream is a misnomer, and all the rest are just average rides at best. the operation of the park is also very poor. Im sorry, your park is packed with people on New Years Eve with most wait times above 1 hour and you still running a one train operation on most of your rides? Thats just inexcusible IMO. They can have the title for all I care because I certainly wont be returning anytime soon.
