Pretty slides.

The slidesvarent that great at WWK

The only slide that Cedar Fair put in was Liquid Lightning, which is a great slide.

The slide complex was just moved over from the old water park "Hurricane Hannah's," that Six Flags installed.

Both Wildwater Kingdom and Soak City need revamped, badly.

That being said, I too saw the large amount of markings inside SC and I hope it's for some kind of future improvements.

I didn't pay a ton of attention, but weren't most of those marking in the vicinity of that new building that just went up this year? If so, seems like the two would likely be connected.

It would be nice to see something fresh in Soak City though.

Unless Soak City attendance is suffering, I wouldn't put a lot of cash into improving it. There's no point. It has an automatic audience from the hotels already.

Real quick about Geauga Lake, I do give credit to Sea World for the scenery at WWK. Cedar Fair built around it. And there is no one to blame for the demise of GL other than CF. They shouldn't have bought it, but they did with the intentions of closing it. The way they closed it with no notice is what pisses me off. No new rides in 4 years and they "wonder" why the attendance went down. All they did was move the water park to the other side of the lake, install Liquid Lightning and a built a new wave pool. To the area, GL always had a water park so it really wasn't anything "new". As I recall, Six Flags Ohio was one of their top parks in the chain. They did ruin it, but it still got attendance numbers.

Back on topic.

I agree with Jeff about SC. If they numbers aren't down, why add? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Losing trees at CP, especially in Frontier Town, is never a good thing. So, if they could add a coaster without getting rid of trees would be perfect and it would create a great atmosphere to the ride.

Also, have we ruled out the possibility of them getting rid of DT and add something over there? How about CP cutting into the employee parking lot? That area is ugly and needs to be renovated soon.

Well now that a Disney guy is in charge maybe they can go back and finish the Snake River Falls mountain first.

I was at the park yesterday and an employee told me they are tearing down Frontier Town for a new coaster in 2013.

Was he selling Lemon Chills?

No she worked at Attitudes.

Before anyone jumps down your throat Princess...seasonal employees do not have that kind of information. Rumors are continuous but you might find 1 in 100 employees that might actually know a piece of the truth, let alone the whole truth.

Given the fact that a new President was named today I think it is safe to say that any future capital improvements are going to be up for review before going further...unless contracts have been signed. Even then he might have some leverage to put his stamp on those projects.

Most seasonal employees don't even know the state of their own department, much-less about upcoming major additions/changes for the entire park. I'd take anything they say about a new coaster with a grain of salt.

Besides, think about it: Why would CP take out the ENTIRE Frontier Town. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot.

I'm thinking of a new dark ride with Pirates of the Carribean/Haunted Mansion quality! Place it in Frontier Town with a western theme. The ride's main show building can be built inside Mean Streak's "court yard." The ride can cross over top CP&LE railroad tracks and just cover it all up with rocks and weathered fencing, giving the railroad a new tunnel. I know it would be very expensive, but fun to think about! :)

OK, you win. Yes, I would take that any day over a mountain. I think we're thinking on the same page, however. :)

Is it possible that we may see some better theming with this Disney guy?

I don't think Cedar Fair needs to do BETTER themeing....but, I do wish they would MAINTAIN the themeing.

I don't want Cedar Fair parks to be Disney parks. But, I do want them to maintain some pride.

Agree 100% with that sentiment. I don't think anyone's vision is to make CP a Disney-type park. That failed attempt can still be ridden in the warehouse on the beach.
