I think they should put the Screamin Swing over in the Bluestreak area. I mean it hasn't seen construction since...when the Pirate Ride was removed. It's never crowded over there and needs a new ride/look. I think it would be too close to maXair to put in where Demon Drop currently is.
Have you folks thought about it going in Challenge Park and being an upcharge attraction for a cheap price? Say $1.00 per ride? That might draw in the quantity they are looking for at a fair price Maybe even cheaper than that, who knows...

That would make me quite happy to be able to keep my Boots of Butt Kicking.

I, for one, hope its not. I'd love to see it on the main midway...
We KNOW.
With the removal of WWL could we possibly see something like this?
http://www.coastergallery.com/2001/BC17.html
Its a combo of a rollercoaster typer thing and a log flume. It has that WWL feel, with the water coaster we want. :)
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
I dont like it. Its too small and doesnt look fun at all. Add another 200 ft. to it and a loop with a corcsew with water that sparys you and you go by and back up again and the stop at the top like a DM andthe go into the water.
Bring back Boblo!
Walt,
I remember seeing an old Frontier Town brochure somewhere online. I can't rememeber where, but it featured a detailed drawing of the trail including the old sign. It would be cool to see an actual picture of that sign.

Today's reading from the Holy Park Bible
The verses for thought today are taken from the 16th chapter of Kinzel, in which it is written:
1 And if thine enemy should cut down a ride filled with water, then thou shalt surely construct a ride filled with water. 2 And if thine own arm shall cause the fall of a ride filled with water, thou art shouldered with building another ride filled with water. 3 For let it be said, that no park shall be without at least three rides filled with water, and shame shall fall upon those without a flume.
p.s. I dont want another water ride.
Yes, Geewhzz, I did think about 1$ a ride. It severely undercuts the other attractions at Challenge Park, price-wise, but the park stands to make 40 bucks every time the thing takes off, which will be often. And as far as I'm concerned it would put the Sceamin Swing where it belongs.
My fantasy has to do with the Gemini area. Put the Witch's Wheel where Calypso is, put the Monster where Chaos is and take the narrow strip of land along side Gemini for an S&S Sky Swatter. A perfect fit and a unique thrill for us north-coasters.
Ok, back to 2006, leaving us to wonder still what on earth they will do with a large patch of land back in Frontier Town, and a very inviting patch of land by the front gate. I wish they would just hurry up and say.

Oh, and that Dive to Atlantis ride, I've heard, is the world's slowest and lowest capacity ride ever. Even when the line is short it can be an hour wait for nothin but what you see. Forgetaboutit!

Here is a picture of a sign to Frontier Town. I know it isn't the one you guys are talking about, but I knew I had this one somewhere.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I would want to see a water coaster similar to Journey to Atlantis. Maybe a little taller and some tunnels.
I don't think Cedar Point necessarily has to replace a water ride with a water ride. At least not right away.
A water coaster is a possibility, but it doesn't seem to me like the kind of thing CP would take out another ride to put in.
As for the SS, I don't think we'll see that next year. It's too close to MaxAir to be added in a consecutive year. I think Valleyfair's new SS for 2006 is equivalent to CP's getting MaxAir in 2005.
Either way, CP does not like taking out rides/attractions if they don't have to. There has to be a big plan in place, (one that will at least break one world-record, I would guess) to call for the removal of WWL. Look for something amazing in 2006!
How can people still dispute the fact that there is the top to a Screaming Swing in the freaking parking lot?? I just don't get it. Its sitting right there.
From the looks of the ride, that is probably the largest solid piece (meaning it isn't bolted together like supports or track), so it was probably shipped earlier to avoid delays. Or, it wouldn't fit in the warehouse where the rest of the ride is being stored. :-) *** Edited 10/20/2005 4:33:29 AM UTC by halltd***
They should build instead of a water ride dueling flying B&M coaster with height of over 275ft. most loops and goes by the water and as you go by you get a bit of mist that hits you to cool down.
Bring back Boblo!
Doubtful that CP would invest that much money in a gimmick ride. 275 is way taller than a coaster with other elements (i.e. flyer, inversions, water elements) needs to be.
Brandon
If B&M doesn't want to put together a sit-down coaster thats nearly 300feet tall, I cant see them doing it on a concept ride.

That's why some people aren't in charge of putting new rides in at CP.

It doesn't matter where the wood really comes from, because the people from that mill aren't the people that build the rides. Its companies like Adena that do the actual construction
I appologize for not being more concise. It was Adena I was refering to, not the mill that produced the wood. I do in fact understand that "wood is wood", but thank you for your explanation...
