Jethro, we've known that since last friday.
I have not kept up with this much, but you all know for sure the new ride going to be a sceaming swing?

I never like to say anything for sure. But if you compare these pictures, with this picture of Vallyfair's new ride. What is sitting in Soak City's Parking Lot looks a lot like the top piece to a Screaming Swing.

Didn't see much today. Weather was great, and the crouds were insane. I used my Joe Cool to get in at 11am and briskly walked to MF, by the time i got there it was already a 20 minute wait. Lots of people from breakers I guess. Lot was nearly full when I left and people were still coming in.
Found another marked between Frontier Inn and White Water Landing, I don't think it is new, I think I just missed it before.
The PVC by Mine ride has not moved. But I got a close up shot of the text on it and based on some google searches I've done, I would say that that it is definatly underground electrical conduit.
There was some scafolding by mide ride. I would say it's for halloweekends, but wouldn't everything already be set up for that?

Well, they may have just shut down the TTD cam so it's not pointing at a non-functional ride.
My question would be, why bring just the top of the SS. Where is the rest of it. Was this done intentionaly just to tease us, or as a slight of hand. Got us looking in the left hand while the right hand is stealing our wallet?

Then why aren't the cams taken down in the winter?

I still think Screamin Swing. Then a huge coaster in 07.
Why do people constantly think "there's going to be something big for '07?" Those who think this because of Kinzel's retirement and wanting to "go out with a bang" is just plain silly and ridiculous!

I'm still skeptical on the scremin swing. I could understand a year or so after the swing at VF just to see how well its liked. But not in the same year.
The "big bang in 07" is still just a theory and a coaster enthusiat dream. I believe he said he wanted to but it doesn't mean the rest of the board will okay it. He ISN'T the only one making decisions ya know.
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
^^^ Agreed. There is no evidence that '07 is going to be a big year. It was just a thought that Kinzel had. It depends on so many other things like finances for next year, the other board members, what technology is available. He made the comment in '03, so don't you think there are many variables between '03 and '07 that could affect his hopes for a bigger coaster? I would love if there was a big bang attraction in '07, but people are starting to act like its definately going to happen. We need to keep in perspective it is just a rumor, and a hope.

I'll tell you why. It will have been 4 years since TTD, that is a long time for CP, very long. The fact that Kinzel happens to be retiring the same year that a new record coaster gap has taken place is more than a big clue. Add that onto him saying he wanted to leave with a bang, and its almost certain. CEO retires, four years since a new coaster, he wants to leave big, I'd say its pretty clear if you read between the lines (or just read the lines, they're pretty clear as it is).

Yeah, and when was the last time Cedar Point has gone without a coaster for 5 years? Since Raptor in 1994 its been Mantis-1996, Millenium-2000, WT-2002, TTD 2003, it wont be blahblahblah-2008
