Any word or thought on a ride for 2006???

I can't believe T&T are messing with us over a *yawn* Screamin' Swing.

It has to be something else. Gosh I hope so anyways.

To me that would be a big letdown after them being so obnoxious.

It is obvious that the ride will be a swing. Look at the red metal arches on top of VF's swingset:

Still not a definite. That could just be a wooden box built to look like that to throw us off. Yeah, I know, Cedar Point wouldn't mess with their fanboy's heads. Or would they?

And it could still just be a sign shaped like that. Maybe for this alleged resturant in place of DD.

I do have to admit that would have to be the top of a screamin swing. Same exact shape. What part of a coaster could that be if it was?

Yeah, I'm sold. Looks like a screamin swing. Stupid in my opinion, looks to much like maXair. If anything a less fun maXair, because it doesn't spin.

I agree, I'd rather ride maXair over this swing, but the swing would apeal more to people that get sick on spining rides.

It's all but confirmed at this point. The park would not put the effort into trying to deceive people with this stuff when only a fraction of the public cares to even look at this stuff. I don't that more than this click of enthusiasts knows that those parts have even arrived, aside from actually knowing what SHAPE they are.

The ride holds 40 passengers. With that kind of capacity, I doubt that they would find enough people willing to pay for a ride to even fill the thing up. (Heck, you can ride MaXair for free) If the ride were to be an upcharge, it would only make sense that the park would have purchased the much less expensive 4 passenger model.

But your right, nobody has said anything.

this sucks. This ride is stupid.

From this point forward, please do not link to other sites. This is a long-standing rule that we haven't been enforcing, but will start to. Your best coverage of 2006 is available right here. Besides, there are only so many pictures of paint marks before it gets a little overdone. :)

Something else must be going on in that area for 2007 if not for 2006.

If it is a huge coaster for 2007 I guess I could understand them starting to get ready to take out WWL now. What a job a new 500 footer is going to be, lol.

Ok guys, I'm back from the Po!nt and I have more pictures. I shifted the pages with new pictures to the top of the construction page. Plus I kept the newer pictures at the tops of the individual pages.

Except for the "By Wave Swinger" page and the "Between WWL & CPLERR" page where i have a older picture for comparison at the top and the new picture is second. They have done some diggin in these areas.

The biggest additions though are of the Blue Tarp and the Parking Lot by Blue Streak. I completely agree that this is a screaming Swing. I hope they don't put it at the front of the Park where Demon Drop is. I think it will be to close to Maxair. I think that it will be going right near Wave Swinger by UR Dade. Maybe they'll tear down UR Dade or put it over the water where the Swan Boats were. I doubt that WWL would be taken out for a SS. I belive that either the markings are so they can run new utilities to the new ride, or if in fact WWL comes down, it will be for an '07 project.

There was another decent size shipment of PVC put by CCMR.

Some of the pictures I took between WWL & FI, are not new, I just didn't notice them last week.

On my way in I saw a big trailer. The trailer was not a flat bed, it was kind of bowl shaped. It was carrying what looked like 2 huge boulders. Maybe 8 foot in diameter (though they were not round). And I also saw a front end loader heading out of the park.

On a side note: I had some problems with uploading a couple pictures, so if anyone sees anything that doesn't look right, let me know.

Once Walt loads them, you will be able to see them in the Point Buzz Photo Gallery as well.

My theory is if they are removing WWL this season and in fact adding this S&S flat ride, WWL still might be out of here this season to make way for 2007 attaction. We could be getting 2 things next year too. I'm thinking that WWL could still be removed this season and the rumored water coaster would go in there. And Demon Drop I think could be removed this season as well to make way for the new S&S ride.

If the Screamin' Swing is the only thing being added for 2006, I have to say I'm very disappointed. If you want to boast up your attendance don't add a ride that does the same thing maXair does. They call us ethusiast their biggest fans but biggest critics. Well that's what I'm doing here.

If they were to build a Sky Swat along with the Screamin' Swing, my views would change. A Screamin' Swing can't follow Top Thrill Dragster and maXair as a new attraction.
