I think the deal BGT made with B&M was that they couldn't build any more dive machines in the U.S. for the next 5 years. I could be wrong though.
Anyways, one option that hasn't been talked about yet is a woodie. Cedar Point has the most coasters of any park on the planet, but they only have 2 woodies. What's more, those 2 rarely rank near the top of listings of the best wooden coasters. Cedar Point needs a world-class woodie that will consistently be ranked in the top 5 in the world. They could build that next year, and then something bigger the following year. It probably won't happen, but it would be a nice move for them.

It amazes me how fast this topic, whenever its brought up, goes to multiple pages (What Cedar Point is getting next).
And for the record, the aerial picture is at ftp://ftp.bholcomb.com/cp/cedarpointaerial.jpg

This is about a 5 year old picture. It doesn't even have wicket twister. So this is 2000 sometime right? Does anyone know if a newer picture exists.

If its going in the frontier area than a wooden coaster makes sense. Cedar Fair doesn't seem to like wood these days but the new Intamin "plug and play" woodies are supposed to be as smooth as steelies and easier to maintain. A ride similar to Dollywood's "Thunderhead" would be awesome and somewhat family friendly. It wouldn't have to break any records, just deliver a solid ride from beginning to end. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Flyers DO suck! ;)

Hey I believe that rumor. If a Cedar Point Employee tells you something like that, then its going to happen. Anyway you guys are going to hate me for this comment, but I think Cedar Point should either expand their waterpark or occupy part of the parking lot to put in another coaster. I think there is a lot of land there to put in another coaster. You could squeeze in a lift hill next to Gemin, and move that road over a little bit. Now as far as the entrance, they would have to make one cut through Gemini or behind it.
Well, if there is one thing CP DOESN'T have enough of, its land devoted to parking. They will fill every single spot and then some on July Saturday's. I don't think they want to go removing parking spaces for a coaster, especially when there is plenty of room inside the park limits.

Hey Shawn, although it is your choice to believe that rumor, I'll just say that how do we know rather or not that employee just heard it from some other employees that for all we know could have been making it up. I'm not saying that he is wrong (I hope he isn't) it's just that he, or who ever told him, must of found out from overhearing a discussion or from a person (like a CP higher up) who let slip the info.
Or maybe the Lemon Chill Guy told him. ;)

Yeah your right there TTD 120, I'm being too optimistic here, but I wanted to agree because I want to see something from B&M go in at Cedar Point. Me personally I want to see a floorless, I think that would be better than a flier but thats just me. If thats rumor is true, Cedar Point could build the tallest Floorless ever. Maybe 210 feet high or something. I think they could do the same with a B&M Flyer.

Yeah your right but they sure don't have tons of room. Also TTD is doing great this year so some of you need to get it out of your damn head that it's working so badly.

101 on Magnum and counting...
They are going to give away free dictionary's next year, it'll even have a spellchecker CD with it.
A 200 foot floorless would be pretty cool. I've never been on a flyer, but I haven't heard anything spectacular about them. I'd rather see an Invert or a Floorless back there. There's nothing that says CP couldn't add another Invert, but I would be leaning towards a Floorless.
Hopefully it'll work around WWL, or they will also add a new WWL to go with it, working the two together so that their structures intertwine really well. That would be cool.
