Outside of local zoning, the FAA (airplanes) height limit is 2000 ft.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
So then the planes can go around lol. I bet CP would change the 450 rule anyways if it were true. CP is da sh**.
Yes granted CP is the sh** as you put it but they can't just say "hey look city council, we are building higher than what you say we can and theres nothing you can do about it." Becuase once they start building, and break that barrier without approval, they get warned. After that its a fine. If they still haven't fixed it, its shutting down of the park until its fixed. They only way they could get it changed is to set up an agreement with A LOT of people and companies.
Oh and I call shananigans on the little predictions. But hey...dream as you please.

As many times as I've heard the height restriction nonsense brought up, I think we could add a new Category to our forums list.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.
Ahh the Wishlist forum would be gigantic... XD
Does anyone frequent this site that DOES get 'reliable' information from a 'source'? I read sometime ago somewhere that Jeff said that his 'People Who Know' haven't told him anything, but does anyone else know people high up?
Just thought I'd ask.

I don't like to quote, but I don't think Cedar Point would want to challenge The citys Height limit Policy. So This is why I see Cedar Point adding a Floorless or Flyer first. I Just don't see Cedar Point adding a 500 foot coaster, not for a while. They have Top Thrill Dragster which still has it's moments, but I"ll give the ride credit. Its running so much better this year. I'd rather see something like that come in 2009. That's just me though
At this point, anything is good for next year!
I think we can all agree that whatever CP does will be either "fun and exciting" or "for the good of the park."

CP already had Sandusky allow them to break the height 400' barrier when they build TTD. And there is no reason why Sandusky wouldnt allow a 500' because the only reason that city is a tourist attraction is CP.(a 3% take on the tickets never hurts) O yea and CP helps out Sandusky, just for the story on this site about the city and CP fighting against some pollution in the Sandusky bay.
The train layout for a floorless gives nearly the same sensation as the wide hyper twister cars on Raging Bull. It doesnt feel like your in a coaster car, just a seat. A floorless gives a new spin on sitdown coasters that CP could use, seeing as all of their sitdowns are 2 seat per row knee bashers.
If CP wants to tap into a huge market, they should get a 1 stop train service from Chicago, stopping at South Bend, and heading to CP. They could use Amtrak trains to pull off a "CP Express" that left from Chicago at 5:00 am and arrived at Sandusky at 10:00am. Then it left Sandusky at 11:30pm and arrived in Chicago at 5:00 am. This would drastically increase attendance as many Chicagoins are tired of the SF:GA suckfest but cant pay for a hotel room for a theme park. Then
CP could build whatever they wanted with this new attendance boost.

You think Millennium Force is a Knee Basher?
884 Coasters, 35 States, 7 Countries

If your talking Knee bashers, you must be refferring to rides like Mantis, because that pulls my lower log muscle to the point where I can't stand straight the whole ride. I don't have a problem with any other ride.
I think the "CP Express" idea could work if done right. The only probelm I see is the lines. If they use preexisting lines, they may run into schedule trouble. If they were to build there own private line, it could work great.
As for knee bashers...try CCMR with little kids. Heck good luck being able to move your knees. Magnum is quite cramped. MF is anything but a knee basher. (its to smooth). Mantis doesn't hurt your knees, it just rips your legs off.

CP Express is actually kind of dumb. No offence. Because more people would go on it, but it would cost way too much for CF to operate. More people would rather spend 20 or 30 bucks at SFGA then spend 130 bucks for Cedar Point all for one person. A lot of people don't even like amusement park too. You keep thinking everyone is a huge fan.
Ahh..but think about it. With gas reaching $2.50 or so a gallon, a train may not be a horrible idea. If they charge a reasonable amount for the train ticket, or inlcuded the gate ticket with it, it could actually save people money. Maybe 70 bucks or so gets you a two way train ticket and gate ticket. This saves people from putting gas in their car, paying for parking, and then trying to find it it later.
And heck, they could even have the 3 dollar bottles on pop on board if this wish.
(and it doesn't have to be the BEST train you've ever been on. Just one comfortable enough that you can ride it and nice enough you don't go "eww")
