It would be cool if we got our water water they held off last year and a floorless or flyying coaster. Then they can get more money for a 500 footer in 07!!
Bring back Boblo!
If we don't get something this year then I think it would be safe to say that we will be getting a new one in 2007.

Totally agree.
jkoaster, I live in Windsor too. What school?
Anyways, we still have just under 3 months of operation and then the park closes. Look how much we have to say in this topic now, 30 pages of posts. I can't imagine how much we will have to say if we happen to see some track and markings.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Yeah but if we don't see anything, then these 30+ pages were all for nothing.

Dragster's track began showing up right around the end of August in 2002.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

I'm really thinking I'm going to be disappointed if we get a flyer. I have heard they suck, and watched videos, and I just don't want to see one. A floorless on the other hand, that could, if the plans call for it, still fulfill my personal love for tall and fast coasters, being over 200 feet. Plus I think a floorless would get better capacity. I am however skeptical about the year thing. I do think Kinzel will leave with a big bang, and it worrys me that there is a good chance we will be waiting until 07 for a new coaster. Unless its a WT/TTD deal with IMO a floorless/whatever style a 500 footer would be. I think its safe to say it won't be a rocket, they do have brains at Cedar Point and wouldn't be so stupid as to build the same ride twice.

True but what if theres a water coaster and a flat ride? What are you going to say then?
Bring back Boblo!
I'd bet there's a new water ride on the way, since it was supposed to go in this year, until maXair came along.

Anyone know when tracks for smaller coasters showed up in the past, such as Raptor and Mantis?
We havent seen any tracks yet becuase CP wont be building a 300ft
tall, 6000ft long mega coaster for next year. We might see tracks for 07 in May of 06. :)
Flyers suck, if you dont believe me go ride S:UF. But a 200ft Floorless or dive machine would be sweet.
Flyers do suck but a 200 or 300 foot flyer would be pretty sweat. Mabey a 250 flyer that has a 240 drop would be a hell of a ride
I did go ride Superman: Ultimate Flight (SFoG version and SFGAm version). I greatly enjoyed them both and thought they were far from "suck."
Stop stating your opinions as fact as not everyone agrees with you.
I still think that the water ride plans were completely scrapped. It doesn't make sense for them to give away what they are doing for the following year in May in an interview rather than waiting until later in the season when they release an official press.

Six Flags has put in about four(?) S:UF's. If CP is getting a flyer they have most likely been talking about ways to make it more extreme(higher, faster, new inversions). Anyway, you are probably right CP_bound. CP wouldn't just tell us one of there plans without a anouncement unless they had scraped the idea.
There's actually 3 Superman-Ultimate Flight's. All of them identical.
And I would agree that if CP were to get a flyer, they would make it exciting and fun.

I've ridden X-Flight and S:UF (SFGAdv) and I didn't think either of them sucked. I thought the loading station at S:UF sucked, but what loading station at that park doesn't suck? I also didn't like being "hung" on the harness while stacked behind the other trains waiting to unload. X-Flight was better with that because you're "sitting". But, I thought the loading of the B&Ms was way cooler - in the fact that you start inverted and are then tipped backwards into the flying position. From a "wow" factor, I thought that was wicked cool. The B&M version could be far improved if there was an unload station like MF or other coasters. Then the riders wouldn't be in that uncomfortable position for so long.
I can list MANY other coasters that really do SUCK though. Manhattan Express, Thunderhawk (Dorney), HeadSpin/MindEraser, Demon (SFGAm), DejaVu (SFGAm), Corkskrew. I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them right now. Regardless, if CP puts in a Flyer, I'm sure it will rock. I'd actually rather see a flyer than a floorless. Floorless is too similar to everything else they have. Big deal, no floor. I'd rather fly. And, I'm sure after the disappointment of Hydra, they'll rethink the floorless idea.
I've read a lot of reviews on it that were just "acceptable". For as much as they're advertising that thing here in the NYC market, I was expecting way more. So, with the reviews I've read and my own personal experience, I called it a disappointment. :)
I was so hyped about this ride, when I got off the first time, I just looked at my friend and was like "that was it"? We rode it again just to be fair to it, and we thought it was fun, but nowhere near how much fun Medusa is. (Or even Dominator at GL) The best part of the whole ride for me was the roll right out of the station.

You know what would be cool? a coaster with a launch lift hill, and at the top of the hill there could be a giant loop. So then the coaster would be like 230 ft. at the top of the loop.
Yeah, I do this in roller coaster tycoon all the time, I like the idea of a cobra rool instead of a loop better, you'd turn the ride back on it self and make it take up less space
