just a small note:
SFMM may have 16 coasters as does CP, but Flashback has not operated since the 2002 season. Thus they only have 15 in operation.
Yeah, that's where I was getting at Jason.
Sorry for making something sound asinine.:)

I don't care what park has the most coasters. If it's CP, Six Flags, whoever. I go to an amusement park to have a good time.

Yeah It's really awesome to live close to the best park on the planet...Cedar Point. I'm really proud to live near the park even though I'm like an hour and a half away from Cedar Point. I'm proud that we have 16 and I'm hoping to see 17. Maybe after that stop for a couple years, because there is so much to do at Cedar Point besides the Rollercoasters. It's fun to go to see the live entertainment at Cedar Point as well.
Well heres the thing, I understand you guys not minding SF taking over the coaster war, but I'm in Oregon. I can go to SFMM alot more than CP. If SFMM has more coasters, different varietys etc. I am going to have a hard time convincing my family to make the trip to CP and not just go to SFMM. And I wouldn't try to hard. Sure, CP rules in about every aspect, but the coasters is where it counts, and if I'm not getting a big enough gain in rides by going all the way to Ohio, I will find myself at CP alot less. That said, I really want a new coaster:)
Wow that is quite a distance for you dude...I think we'll see a new coaster in 2007, and I'm hoping for either a B&M Floorless, sit-down like Raggin Bull, or a Flier. I really want to see a Floorless especially back in Frontiertown. I think that a floorless would really make that end of the park boom more. That's my opinion though. And I don't know if anyone read anything from Screamscape or thepointol, but they claim that there is room. The station would be located in between Cedar Creek Mine Ride and Snake River Falls.
Something like Hulk Coaster would be nice, except not the with same theming it already has.

The best kind of prize is a SUR-prise.

You know I never thought of a ride like that, what kind of ride is Hulk? And also whos the maker of that ride; B&M?
Shawn first the Hulk is a launched ride where riders sit four across. They then start to move up a hill but about have way up it launches and at the top of the hill it has a zero g roll. After that it has the inversions like on Raptor and Mantis Cobra Roll and Loops. BM makes it. Question could this be done with a Flyer?

Well I don't know about the launching up the hill part, I think that would be really cool on a Flier coaster, it would be the first flier ever to have a launch. I'm a Genious!!
The B&M launch that was done for The Hulk was exclusively pursued in full partnership between Universal engineers AND B&M engineers, so don't plan on seeing it on any other rides they do. I also heard that B&M had later said they will never do a launch [like that] on another one of their rides, although I cannot cite a source for that statement.
If you can't cite a source for that statement, then how do you know that B&M said that? Or are you just making that up?
P.S. Im joking with you.:)

TTD 120 you are funny dude, I can't believe you said that in the other topic. Anyway, I'm sure he has the link to what he is saying, we'll have to wait until tomorrow. If he doesn't have proof after 3 days then we know he was kidding...lol.
Sorry guys but it looks like the best I can offer at 1am is just a writeup from Rollercoaster pro that also states that 'Hulk’s launch was actually made by a different company and B&M has stated that they do not like to use launched systems.'
http://www.rollercoasterpro.com/articles/b&m/index.php
or more at:
http://www.coasterforce.com/parkguides/universal_florida/hulk.shtml
"B&M did not build or favor the launch system."
Basically, it wasn't their company that designed the launch system, and the only park(s) I see venturing the engineering or $$ into designing one and pulling it off would be a park such as Disney or, as previously seen at their own risk, Universal. *** Edited 7/28/2005 5:24:59 AM UTC by Grovite18***
