I don't technically get a headache, it's just a hassle for me and every other group with over 2 people who want to ride together.
Yeah I was....I fixed it.
I technically don't get migraines either. :)
Oh and to add to what Wicked Twister 90 said, the rumored SFMM flyer is supposed to be the tallest of its kind. And is surprisingly not going to be named after any superhero!
So I guess we're just going to have to wait and see what CP does (if anything).

I think CP has had the next coasters plans in the books for alot longer than they have known that SF is building a new coaster. That is, unless they're good friends. I don't think they are THAT good of friends though.
I don't think they're friends at all. :)
But I would bet my money that Six Flags spontaneously plans their coasters. Kind of like "Uh, I don't know.....how about we build a coaster for next year?" [other guy] "Uh, ok. What do you want to build?":)
Oh by the way, I'm joking. *** Edited 7/26/2005 5:59:02 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

My cousin was at the point over the weekend and while riding the Mean Streak both he and his siter saw a silver support sitting in the parking lot. If thats true I'm suprised that no one saw it or posted about it yet. *** Edited 7/26/2005 7:06:09 AM UTC by matt1027***
Why would CP need another coaster right now? There's already 16 other coasters to ride. This "coaster war" has slowed down in recent years, which I'm glad. It's getting old.

A single support all by it's lonesome self? My guess is if it was anything at all, it is just a new light pole for the parking lot.

Re: Race for the Fry's comment on MF's line...It WAS (for the first couple of years) about 60-90 minutes "from the vending machines" (as so many people have quoted). The first year it was in, we went down for HalloWeekends, 15 minute wait from start of line. I know this is kind of off subject, but doesn't every ride's line die after people have grown tired of it? I mean, look at Gemini. Believe it or not, the lines for that were, at one time, two hours long. Same goes for DT---Before and after it was called Avalanche Run. I remember standing(and standing and standing and standing...) watching that STUPID robot show for at least an hour and watching the SAME thing over and over again...want to talk about boring? Get away from the "themed" crap and just get on with the ride!!! (Although CP will deny they ever had a "theme" until TTD...)
Agree with u, Frontier Dale. MI Adv need something other than "Funnel of Fear" (not that that's a bad idea), but they have had a lot of bad pub since the collapse of "Chaos" (need we talk about that?). They really need a coaster, being that there is MUCH more space than at CP to build...was there REALLY any need to put that cheap mini train in and take up all that space? I remember when it was Deer Park, they seemed to have had a vision.
That "cheap mini train" doesn't really take up all that much space. And I'm pretty sure it could be easily rebuilt to actually transfer people from ST back to Adventure Falls and then loop around the back of the empty field with maybe another stop. There is a TON of room for expansion, just needs to actually happen.

Agreed, I just thought they could have made better use of the space when they did it, because I had a map from the year previous(to building it), and they showed it in a different location than where they actually put it.
That train is one of the dumbest things i've ever seen. it goes no where.
Bogiehead, we're ot saying the line is shorter, were saying that it is moving slower. When the ride opened, if you were at the vending machines, it was an hour wait. Now if your at the vending machines, it's a 90 minute wait.

The same can be said of any ride. Why not wipe out Dragster? "It goes no where"
The train is nice relaxing ride, albeit a bit short at MA. Like I said, when the park expands, they should expand the train.

Bogiehead, I think that the length of the lines for the coasters is dependent upon three things: how busy the park is, how new/popular the ride is, and the overall capacity of the park. The first two are pretty obvious. Millennium Force and Dragster (when it's open ;)) will always have longer lines than Cedar Creek Mine Ride or WildCat because less people have had a chance to ride MF and Dragster than many of the other coasters. It's just common sense.
But what a lot of people don't realize when they think back to when some of the coasters were added in teh '70's and '80's is that the overall capacity of the park was much lower then. It's not that they wouldn't allow as many people into the park, the number of rides just wasn't as high. Back when Gemini and Corkscrew were new there were only 5 and 6 major coasters in the park. So although the length of the line was long, the lines for everything else was longer as well because there were less rides for people to wait in line for.
Now there are (nearly) 3 times as many adult coasters than back then. Since guests can do other things they may come back when the line isn't 2 hours long. Unfortunately, the last 3 coasters CP has installed have a lower capacity so the wait is more dependent upon the operational limitations of the rides rather than the sheer volume of people that are waiting to ride.

Concerning MiAdv:
People. That train was put there for a reason--a couple of years ago.
I believe CF or the Joardans had planned to put a campround and/or hotel-sit down restaurant along the tracks, so to speak. They were counting on the water issue to be resolved and that JUST happened this summer.
Give them an off season to build infrastructuer and it will make sense.

And I agree with you on that point, TTD 120. And I wouldn't be suprised if they through in a few Lighthouse Point style cabins around a pond/water foutain. MiAdv needs overnight accomedations in the worst way.

While you could argue that no ride goes anywhere, they have other elements to entertain you. Speed, Hills, Loops, etc.
For a train, unless sitting on a slow moving vehicle is entertainment enough for you, it's nice to have a few things to look at. Like on CP&LE RR you have the ghost town, you go through the woods some, you go by MF, etc.
It has been a while since i've been to MiA, but if I recall correctly, it basicly just goes in a circle, and there's not even many trees around. I love a nice relaxing train ride, but put it somewhere more interesting, or build around it. Maybe this was their original intention, but nothing ever happened. I don't know.
