Any word or thought on a ride for 2006???

Gemini wasn't all that bad when they had the dual lines (one for front one for back). Now if you want to ride in the front you have to fight through a crowded station to get there.

Yeah, try figuring out how to get 5 people on one train!, talk about a migraine!:)
But luckily I bring extra strength Advil when I go to Cedar Point....just for such occasions.:) *** Edited 7/26/2005 3:40:55 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

Is it me or is all of this capacity stuff a lil off topic?

It's not exactly off topic. If CP puts in a Flyer, my question is would it have one station or two like other flyers do?

If cP puts in a flyer they should have 2loading stations and 2 unloading

101 on Magnum and counting...

Your talking about a duel near miss flyer right?

Near Miss? As in oh look, those to trains nearly missed, but they didn't, and now the coaster is down for 2 months while we wait for custom parts from switzerland to be made.

Are you being sarcastic or something?

I don't technically get a headache, it's just a hassle for me and every other group with over 2 people who want to ride together.

It's weird but every time I go to CP i always get a headache on Wicked Twister. I never get them on Mantis or Raptor just WT. I hate headaches, they just ruin the day.

i think he was agreeing with you. It can be a real mess in that station sometimes. My cousins and I were there 2 weeks ago and though we were in lines with the same ammount of people, but by the time it came to be our turn to ride, we were 2 trains apart and let people ahead of us so we could ride together. Which I suppose sounds simple enough, but we actualy had a hard time finding people to go ahead of us, because they were trying to make sure they were on the same train as someone else as well.

Oh and just so i'm not completely off topic, I think a new water ride to replace WWL with a nice western theme would go great back in that area of the park. Something that would spruce up the area and have a higher capacity than WWL does right now. That or do a complete overhaul on WWL. You could spend just as much money doing that as building new, so I say go new.

I was talking about a near miss Duel Flyer like Dueling Dragons at Islands of Adventure.

I was not questioning the idea, i was questioning the termanology. What makes it a "Near Miss" coaster? Do they collide? If not, then it should be called a "Near Hit" coaster.

I'd much rather be in favor of them getting dueling flyers to replace WWL and 'Tiques than a crappy flat ride from S&S.

i think a "dueling" flyer would be cool... as long as it dosent collide with the other train.

...that's where the near-miss concept comes into play, with the emphasis on the miss part...;)

A duel near miss coaster has two different track layouts that overlap. When they overlap the have a inversion(Like a in line twist or corskscrew) where the trains come within about 12 inches of each other. Dueling Dragons has a finalie with the two trains coming toward each other and then both do a loop(again coming within 12 inches of each other) So the trains don't collide, they just come really close to eachother. That ride is inverted like Raptor. Sorry CP Bound I said exactly what you said.

Now that I think about it there is a rumor that SFMM might be putting a flyer in too. So CP might wait and see what SFMM does.

It's not exactly that they can just back up and redesign the ride in a short period of time, though.

Oh, thank God, for a second I thought the ride would actual collide.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

You see Sean, sometimes I go and cause the trains to collide, just because recently I have been causing so many problems.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
