Who cares how many coasters a park has??? We should be glad that parks (even parks that aren't our home parks) are building lots of new coasters! I am happy that SFMM is getting 3 new coasters and I have never even been to CA! But now I might have to make a trip out there. But that doesn't mean I will be ging to CP any less this year either :)
2 categories people, shuttle roller coasters and complete circut roller coasters. Both are roller coasters, but in different categories. If S:UE is not a roller coaster, what the hell is it? Is a Schwatzkoff shuttle looper not a roller coaster any more?
BTW MFistheBEST: Check your facts on the number of records by SFMM. S:TE, Viper, Goliath, Riddler, Ninja, Revolution, Colossus, Flashback, and comming soon X, and Deja Vu: all world record holders, at one time, some still are. Oh yeah, I forgot, Psyclone: World's crappiest coaster ;)!

Only 2290½ miles from Cedar Po!nt
P.S. Spell check not working for me either.
HeHe, this is getting fun. Like I said before, I dont care about the stupid record, but here are some things that CP can add to the fight.
First, Right now CP has a 2 point lead going into the final quarter of play (I guess this is some kind of game now). I am sure the Low capacity Shuttle and the Kiddy coaster will get off without a hitch, but I dont know about X. It is still a prototype which means those sweet trains have not been really tested. SFMM had a history of not getting new types of coasters "of the ground." Literally, I remember watching something about Superman, and they said the first launch went like 5 feet.
Most of it hangs in Superman, and whether it is a coaster or not. Some may say Guinness considers it a coaster, so it is. Well, in their recent book, I think Monkeys are typing and determining the records. For those who dont know already, Guinness made more errors in its 3 sentences about Cedar Point than the average number of errors in a post at CCP before the wonderful implementation of Spellchecker. When I go to CP next year, I will say.
Do you want to ride the Blue Stack, or the Woodcock Express Next? Hey, did you know that Johnny Allen and Friends got in a time Machine and built the Blue Stack in 1961.
When Guinness types there record for SFMM it will say something like
Sex Flags Manic Montana now holds the record for most coasters in a park, 15. They took the record from Cedar Pot by building 3 new coasters. Their collection also includes, Supperman, the Escapade, Fishback, and Granola. They also have the classic wooden coaster the Psychic, which was built in 1881.

I didn't see anything wrong with that....;)

Trim brakes-a necessity???
You guys talk of how Guinness messes up a lot of things in their book. Hinting that they messed up about S:TE being a coaster. I find it funny that you guys are putting down a company that is all about records. After all, CP is all about records and Guinness is about the best you can get to supply truthfull stats. If they messed up on STE (which they did not), they could have easly screwed up on the stats of MF. Maybe MF is only 295 feet. Just a thought. Please continue, nothing to see here.

I think you missed my point and the fact that I was being somewhat sarcastic. I belive that MF is 310 feet. Just trying to make a point. I hope someone here got what I was trying to say.

Trim brakes-a necessity???
I've seen and heard enough!
After 107 posts, it's time to chime in here:
This crock about CP and SFMM being friends and this dispute being all in good fun, can be summed up with this little example; Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were real good friends too when the Lakers and the Celtics were playing against each other for the NBA championship in 84, 85 and 87. Which one of them do you think said " okay, since we're friends, I'm just going to sit back and let you walk away with the title."
If nobody cares about "THE RECORD" including CP and SFMM, then why has it reached the newspapers and also turned into the GTTP version of Fox News Channels O'Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes.
MSNBC for life.
