In regards to the original post ~ It looks to me like there will infact be something new to talk about (and look forward to) at Cedar Point for the 2008 season ~ according to their offical website. No one knows what it's going to be yet, but here's a link that you can follow for the latest info.

If for some reason that link doesn't work, go to www.cedarpoint.com. Click on "Online Fun" in the left hand column, and then on "On point ~ The CP Blog" "An interesting find" is the one you want to check out.
My family and I were in the park on the 17th of August. I saw construction crews working from the top of one of the coasters.. I can't remember now which coaster I was on or where in the park it will be.. I'm thinking Fronteir town.. I didn't find this information until yesterday ~ Two days after our trip. It's doubtful, but if anyone has heard any rumors or if new information comes available, do keep us posted.

You missed it by a few days.

Ok if Cp did do a new show instead of a new ride they could do it like this: http://www.buschgardens.com/bgw/ar_corkscrew_hill.aspx
This was really cool when I rode it.
They could also do something like this:

That show was also cool. I love the 4D movies.
So thats some options for shows. But I still would rather have a Eltorro type woodie.
Let's Get Weird.
Yep. CP's iMax opened in 1975:
The Cedar Point Cinema with IMAX projection system opened in June. "Man Belongs to the Earth" was shown. The Cinema had a total area of 19,000 square feet. The area was divided into the Cinema Showcase and the Main Theatre. (The Main Theatre housed one of the world's largest indoor motion picture screens -- 66 feet high by 88 feet wide.) 950 guests watched the film in the Main Theatre while guests in the Cinema Showcase were entertained by the zany Showcase performers. The Cedar Point Cinema was converted to the Good Time Theatre in 2002.

Thanks. It is interesting to hear everyone's "wishes", but I wouldn't rule out this being just some sort of joke by T & T that has been blown out of proportion.
That said, if the goal was to get people talking, mission accomplished.
Amazing what some dirt can do. :)

Promoter of fog.
Cedar Point always keeps some amount of construction vehicles on-hand throughout the entire season. I'd say this blog post amounts to nothing, unless it's a teaser to what T and T actually want us to see down the road. (i.e. more construction vehicles showing up as the season ends, etc)
But most likely, it's them having fun, and it is fun, watching everyone freak out. :)

The blog doesn't necessarily mean that there is a huge ride coming but I'm pretty sure that it also isn't T & T just goofing off. I'm sure that the blog must be teasing us for something coming, it is just a matter of what, when, and where.
I really don't think that Cedar Point would appreciate Tony and Tyler joking with everyone and pretending that something new is coming if there is absolutely nothing coming. It could be a ride, a show, a restaraunt, or something else. We probably won't know what that blog is about for a long time, but I'm sure that someday we will find out.
...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
