Right you are! That'd be my bad. I only get out there once a year, and when I do go I don't spend too much time in the kiddie areas of the park. Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Stopped by the park today. Here's an update on the construction markings, and some (potential) farwell photos of Peanuts Playground.

So far the markings seem to be concentrated on the West side of the playground. Maybe this will only be a partial revamp of the area. As opposed to leveling it and starting over. There are marking in almost every area, just not as concentrated as the West side.

Well, it's been for sal since 2005. I took some pics then. I walked by and didn't see any markings, plus with the weather, they hadn't started running it yet.
Here are "farwell" the pics I took about 2 years ago. :)

Since this is only like, the five hundredth time that CP has used such markings, what do these markings represent, and are they leading to potential development? Does anyone know what those pieces of metal are in the ground with the spray paint around them?
I know there are some engineers here, so speak up if you know...it'd be interesting to compare these markings to previous rides.

Most of them mark underground utilities like telephone, gas or electric. That way, when they dig, they know to be careful because there is something underground that shouldn't be damaged. Some of them appear to be survey markers as well. On a site plan for a particular project, you would set "benchmarks" which you have the surveyor mark in the field. Then you take all the dimensions for the project from that benchmark.
Surveying is a pain in the *** (and not to mention very boring)
With everyone snooping around that area this weekend you think someone would have noticed the webcam pointing at it. I say that's more important than some paint on the ground.
This is the only picture I took that it might be in. Here it is in full resolution. Is it in this picture?
