I believe what she is doing falls under your definition of what these boards are for.
That's true. Complaining about complaining would fall under the definition, Pete. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I don't care what the pay is, I want to work there anyway.

Mike, the manager at the Marina at Cedar Point, told me that the bonus for 2008 is going to be .35. I would think he knows since he hires us.......
I don't think anyone should believe anything until word is officially released from the park. I'm sure we'll be getting a news letter in the mail soon like we did in 2006.

If you don't believe me, call Mike in the Cedar Point Marina, I just spoke to him again today and he said it was true. We are only getting .35 an hour bonus because they had to raise our hourly wage and didn't want to raise the bonus also. Call him......419-626-0830.........ask for Mike Young in the marina. IT'S TRUE.
Until I see it on the website or hear it from HR, I'm not going to believe it. Not saying I don't believe you, but that just doesn't seem like a smart move. They had a hard enough time keeping people around with a 50 cent bonus....
...If it's true, they're going to have a great time getting people to stay with a 35 cent bonus.

Does anyone know when the application is going to be online?
I believe it was December 27th last year.

Well, the site says it'll be online in January...so there you go.
The application usually goes up sometime Dec-Jan so just keep checking back. It's always possible it'll be up before January, but don't hold your breath.

Why don't you pick up the phone and confirm my so called rumor. Call your manager or area manager and ask them. They already know what the pay is for next year because as Mike Young said they had to submit this information in order to perform their 2008 budget process. It is set already......our bonus in 2008 will be .35 per hour.
Putz for president 08
lol yeah all you guys are complaining about your bonus and such i dont care what the pay is because no matter what when u work at a resturaunt i get paid my 3.33 or what ever it is no matter what and i dont get a bonus..... but when your makin 200 250 a night none of that really matters.... i make rediculas money work less hours and still get the sam experience as everyone else.... ok so some nights i wont make it to luies but most nights i did and it didnt matter and even if i missed luies there was allways bayside to go to and then off to dianas for a 5 am breakfast because i usually didnt work until 4.... best times ever....

I won't work in Food Service at Cedar Point for all the money in the world until they start drug testing the employees there too, if you know what I mean!!!
^No, I really don't know what you mean.
As far as I knew, all employees are drug tested at the beginning of their employment and then randomly throughout the season if necessary.

^That is disturbing then.
I don't even want to get started on my thoughts on food services. How bad does it have to get before they actually want to do "something" with it?
