I remember being at corkscrew and swearing i killed this spider and a couple of days later it shows up in the exact same spot so i knock it off into the bushes under the ride and it still comes back to the same spot. this went on for like a month and got really frustrating

Controls at WildCat are HORRIBLE with spiders. They drop down on you from the canopy...no matter how often you clean that thing off, they'll still come play at night and drop on you. Spiders terrify me, so, it was beautiful sitting at controls at night.

We had some very interesting spiders show up in our control booth towards the end of August. It was hilarious at night when Heather was down there. Whoever was at unload usually had to go down and kill a few each night while she was in there. :)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Toward the end of the season, when I went over to Blue Streak for a little visit there was a mouse in controls haha. Alright I think we should get back on topic, we don't wanna scare off potential future Cedar Point employees here lol.

They're gonna find out anyway. Besides, the Cedar Point Medium Security Correctional Center (some call it "Commons") is far scarier than any bug I've ever seen.
Other things at Cedar Point scarier than spiders:
1) mayflies...don't care if they don't have mouths, wait til you find out your friends have hung 5 or 10 of them on your shoulders without you knowing. Scary.
2) Certain portions of the enthusiast community (MOST of them are fun, though, gotta say)
3) Clothing that parents allow their children to wear to the park.
4) Clothing the parents wear themselves, for that matter.
5) Being sent to a different location "just for the week, we promise"

What are you talking about?! Mayflies are so much fun!
Wait, maybe that's cause I was one of the ones putting them on you when you weren't looking.. haha.
And being sent to other locations can be fun, it's nice to be able to do something else every once in a while.. especially if the other location is Snoopy Bounce! I <3 Snoopy Bounce! You just happened to pick the one to go to that not very many people are trained at so you got sent away more often.. And you know you loved getting to be Capt. Craig. :-p
I am surprised I didn't get sprayed. Didn't we have like 8 in the compound at once?

My favorite was on July 4th when I went back to Commons and 2 of them were mating on the sidewalk!

How much is pay/minimum wage?
As of 2007, basic pay rate for those 18+ years of age, was Ohio's minimum wage, $6.85/hour, plus $0.50 bonus per hour of work over the entire summer if you don't void your contract. Minors have a lower pay rate, and other positions have some different pay scales. Nothing has been said about 2008 yet, however. Ohio's minimum wage will increase to $7.00 on January 1st, but, amusement parks are also exempt from the minimum wage increase. We'll just have to wait and see about 2008.

Craig, I have to disagree... somewhat. If you work in a department where you get a lot of hours, you can do very well. I have numerous friends who had jobs over the summer, and they'd get their biweekly paychecks of $200 and be thrilled. To me, that was nothing compared to my biweekly checks that usually totaled almost $1,000, before taxes, housing, etc. I was able to save a lot of cash from this summer. Far more than I would have thought. I did, however, work a lot, which took away a lot of the opportunities that might have come up for me to spend money. But, if you're careful with your spending, you can actually do okay.

Thats the thing, there are always opportunities for more hours at Cedar Point. There is always a department or another ride that could use someone. You just don't get that with a regular job, because there are less positions to fill, and most of them are over staffed to begin with.
