So as soon as I clicked on this thread the Halloween theme song began playing on my playlist of 2,500 songs. That's gotta be a sign or something. :)
Haha, ive been listening to alot of a particular Dropkick Murphy song recently...

What's going to be hard is going to scare school this weekend knowing it's still a month until we actually get to scare. It's coming quickly though. :)
Dear sick and twisted minded people like me.
I am hoping to be impressed by Cedar Point's Halloweekends this year. I will be visiting the first weekend of Halloweekends, Sept 17th. I am hoping all of the hype by you Screamsters and advertising is backed up by actions! (Not being said with arrogance)
I am one of the few that builds and runs one of Haunted Attraction's Top 25 Must See Haunts in the nation for 2009. I will be coming from Indianapolis, IN. Necropolis.
I am very intrigued to see the sets/scenes and the scare tactics that are used for patrons. I fell completely in love with Halloween about 15 years ago and have been since. Unfortunately, politics became involved with our haunt in Indianapolis and all of the masterminds behind Necropolis will no longer be there. So, this is my first opportunity in 10 years to experience other haunts as a patron. Luckily, we will be taking our minds elsewhere next year and re-open with a brand new theme.
I know the first weekend is always "iffy" with scary dudes, or in your world, Screamsters. I am requesting for all of you Screamsters to give it your all for my group. Put on the masks, paint and do whatever you need to do to get pumped up each night. I am a white-collared office worker Mon - Fri until 5pm, but I know what it's like to put on your game face!
Looking forward to a great show by all of you. I'll be wearing a white Colts hat because white doesn't stand out in blacklights! :)
I hope its humid and not windy when we visit so the fog holds. It sucks when you can see where all the screamsters are while you are walking through the haunts when the wind is blowing all the fog away.
When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835
At the park today, we noticed the usual Halloweekends promotions out - including the sign they always have on the main midway next to the carriage carrying the casket.
The sign announces the official name of the new haunt taking over the Undertaker U... "Dr. D. Mented's Asylum."
The logo for it looks pretty sweet if I do say so myself. Only a few more weeks...

Be between the Dodgems and Coasters Restraunt around 7:35 to witness the start of the mayhem with the Overlord. 1 month from today!
I've seen a few You Tube videos of the Overlord releasing everyone into the park. I'm very curious and hope to catch that!
Pumped! I hope to get a lot of Halloweekends in early... the 17th/18th and the 24th/25th/26th.
It is my understanding that the rides are limited on Friday night and the haunts are closed on Sundays, correct?
What is closed on Friday nights?
And all rides are open, all day Sunday? Just the haunts are closed?
The only ride that I really miss being open on Fridays is Gemini. Otherwise, those nights are perfect. The last time I went, MF's line was so short toward the end of the night that you simply walked from the unloading platform back into the station for your next ride.
I thought it was funny when that guy posted his VIP tour trip report on here earlier this summer, because he basically described what you can experience for $29.99 on a Friday during the fall.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

Off the top of my head - Corkscrew, Gemini, Mean Streak, CCMR. Some of the smaller flats are closed as well.

Thanks guys.
I keep hearing Fridays during Halloweekends are some of the slowest days. I can't wait!
