Dragsters don't have pit stops.

Dragsters have a pit stop after every run! Nitro powered cars rebuild the engine after every run.

Maybe CP should have rebuilt the hydraulic launch after every run. That would have been a more reliable ride.

New drone video from LEL shows the transfer table has been installed, and vertical construction has started on the rear spike with some track going vertical as well. The big red crane is also on site and is being assembled.

Anyone have specs on that crane?

That thing is huge!

May be a Liebherr LR 1200. Bay Crane has one

Whoops. Sorry Rob. Seeing the crane compared to the rides and paths and rides in that area is just mind boggling. That area has always seemed expansive to me walking around and trying to comprehend what that crane would look like in person.

BleauxJays, looks spot on, it's modular which is really fascinating seeing different configurations. It'd be interesting to see the initial lift process.

Camera 2 can see part of the Liebherr crane in the bottom of the frame!

I saw that and it looked like the peak of the top had has been freshly painted white, while the sections immediately upstream and downstream are a different color of red now.

Yes. Tony posted pictures on Thursday of the new paint on the top hat. It’s amazing how quickly paint fades, especially when looking at the new red compared to the old red that was just repainted in 2016.

Odd place for a fence when the park's closed, wonder what they're doing that they can't even trust their employees to keep out.

I would guess the crane is doing its thing which would likely make this a no entry zone.

back in the old days they used to let the employees climb on the cranes. The dads would bring in their kids and let the little children go to town climbing the crane. But that was back in the 80s, ronald reagan era. Fun times! Now, in Joe Biden's America we have countless faceless bureaucrats pushing their red tape regulations, we get these fences around the cranes and the only place to entertain the kids is a drag show. I wish for simpler times, before OHSA got involved and ruined everyone's fun up on the POINT!
