On Friday, September 12, Cedar Point is hosting an invite-only sneak peek. You’ll enjoy ERT on GateKeeper, delicious food and you’ll be the first to take cautious steps through Hexed before the general public!

This event is open to officially-recognized coaster club members only! Each person attending must be a club member. This is not the same as CoasterMania! (where you can bring a guest who isn’t a member).

All attendees must register – no walk-ups. All the details can be found on the registration page: https://www.cedarpoint.com/hwparty

I thought it mentioned Midway Market. Where's this delicious food you speak of?

Its at Midway Market, but the food they had last year was Excellent! Including peel and eat shrimp! Not the normal MM fare!

Awesome! I was hoping they would do this event again. It sounds just as awesome as last year.

Sounds fun! I'd like to join CoasterBuzz and get a family membership(does each family member get a card?). But that requires mail in, and I don't see cards being mailed in that length of time. Any suggestions?

Keep passing the fun along!

Well darn it, if they up it for the event, then that's great (but the site doesn't mention anything about that).

The site doesn't have to mention anything about that. If it's anything like last year, Midway Market is closed to the public for the duration of the event. There was good food and even a ticket for a beer on your way in.

Who said anything about them having to mention anything about anything? Thanks for the second half of your post though, at least it wasn't a total loss.

Jeff is really good about mailing things out in time for events. You will probably be ok if you get your stuff mailed within the next week, just don't wait too long.

I have signed up for this event as a member of GOCC, and so have my neighbors and a friend of mine, also members. Sounds awesome!

The event page details says we have to pay for parking? What if you are a platinum pass holder? Would I still have to pay for parking? And, I don't understand how this is a sneak preview of "Hexed", when that is the opening day of HalloWeekends anyways? I don;t get it. Some clarification would help.....

The event is free to coaster club members. If you don't have a parking pass, the only thing you have to pay for is parking. It is a preview because club members get to tour an hour before it is open to the public.

That Cedar Point does this is just really, really cool.

Last year's event was memorable for us. Not only was the weather perfect, but that was the first day my daughter was tall enough to ride MF, which was the early ride that year like GK is this year. We got seven rides in an hour before going to MM.

BTW, Midway Market was giving out tickets for alcohol last year. I had several, as the lady in front of me did not drink and gave me hers. It was a great night!

I'm looking forward to the HalloWeekends Preview Night this Friday. Its been awhile since I've made it up to Cedar Point for the night time HalloWeekends events. I was also hoping to make my "last stand" on Mantis that night but apparently it is not one of the rides in operation on Friday nights.

Has that always been the case?

I haven't seen anything on this, so I'm assuming the answer is no - I wonder if there will be a promo code for rooms again this year. Last year, I think it was $99 at Breakers for that night, and I would totally do that again.

I'm considering bringing my 13 year old daughter, who of course doesn't have a photo ID. I wonder if this will be a problem. Anybody deal with this before? She is a member of a coaster club.

I don't remember them checking photo IDs last year. They did check coaster club membership cards and to see if you were registered. And there were a lot of kids there who were likely 13 or under who I doubt have photo IDs.

Thanks. They did check photo IDs last year. Hopefully it won't be a problem.

What did they check photo IDs for?
