CP goes above and beyond for these special events. I'm amazed at lots of what they do for the clubs. Nobody should be complaining, yet many do.
That meal at the Midway Market last year was quite impressive. The entire event was great. I'm looking forward to Friday.
I can't wait for Friday! This event looks to be so much fun! And if they DO hand out beer tickets again this year - I've got dibs - any teetotalers out there!!? :-) And if they don't - oh well!! I'm just happy Halloweekends are here.
It says check in starts at 3:45 at the main entrance plaza. I get off of work at 2:50 and won't quite get there at 3:45. It doesn't say what time check in stops. Earliest I could get there is like 4:30-ish. And, I usually park in the Soak City lot, and enter through that gate back there. Do you all think that entrance will be open tomorrow? I really don't like parking in the main lot...
Last year, they had us processing in through Guest Services at the main entrance plaza. Presumably, unless there's a posted end time, you should reasonably be able to check in at 4:30.
As for parking in the back lot, I presume you could walk up front or catch a shuttle. It's doubtful they would let you walk through the park that early.
You must enter through Guest Services. No other gate will have your registration information.
You can check in later at Guest Services, but the event is "over" at 8, so if you're coming past 8, there's "nothing to see here."

Thanks, Tony! I look forward to seeing you on Friday; hopefully you remember to bring that trivia you promised. :)
Is it too late to sign up for this event? My wife and I didn't think we would be able to make this event, but our plans have changed at the last minute. I've clicked on the link and it just takes you to CP's homepage. I can't find anything on their website about the event either. Thanks in advance for your help!
I had a blast! The entitlement was VERY strong tonight but it didn't hinder the event for me and my troupe. Tony and his group go way out of their way to give us a good time and if you were one of the people complaining (verbally and or physically) about uncontrollable circumstances, I hope I don't run into you at the park.

I agree! We had a great time. I found nothing to complain about, not even a little rain/mist whatever you want to call it. Thanks Tony, Brian and all the gang at CP.
Yes, another great event. We had a fantastic time. Thanks!!
Only complaint which is beyond anybody's control, was it seemed that the amount of idiot smokers, figuring they are entitled not to find the designated smoking areas, seemed higher than usual last night. Anyway, sorry. Just needed to vent.
Had a great time last night, with the park staff doing another excellent job. Looks like there were at least twice as many participating in this event compared to last year.
We didn't see any entitlement attitudes or complaining, everyone was in good spirits around us.
It was funny, with as many people that were there, we expected GK to be somewhat crowded but we got 6 walk on rides in a row. There was a longer line for the sweat shirts than on GK, so we rode it until the shirt line emptied, picked up our gift and headed for dinner.
There were a lot more participants this year, at least 2x as many as last year. We got a lot of rides in up until the drizzle started. We got 3 on TTD and were on the last train before it shut down. We then did the outdoor haunts, caught the show at the Palace and headed to BS for a ride before departing at 930.
We never did make it to Hexed at 7pm, we were busy getting some rides and forgot to head over. How was it?
Thank you Cedar Point for such an awesome event. My son and I had a blast and we are very appreciative of the invitation. See ya at the MF walkback Sunday.

Great time yesterday. Tony opened the Guest Services around 15 minutes prior to the posted time which I thought was a nice gesture. We had an wonderful time. Got 6+ rides on Gatekeeper - one on each corner and several in the middle on both sides.
Tony was a busy bee last night. Constantly at various locations busting his butt to ensure we all had a good time. At one point I caught him busing tables at Midway Market - helping staff and doing the dirty work when needed - is a sign of a great executive.
Kristy (works for Tony) never seems to get the credit she deserves. I also ran into her at multiple locations during the evening and she was always full of smiles and doing what it took to ensure everyone had a great time. Kristy is a great asset to the Cedar Point Team.

It sounds like everybody had a great time! I'll definitely be looking into a coaster club membership. Any recommendations? I'm Akron, Oh area-should my club (being joined) be local?
Keep passing the fun along!
They opened it about 5 minutes early, not 15. What a strange thing to choose to exaggerate.
So it is now considered part of any report to talk about how entitled people were? Cause that's great. Again, this is the human race you're talking about, so you're in for disappointment if you're expecting otherwise.
Very nice job overall with the physical marketing materials, top notch.
HalloWeekends preview night was pretty nice, this being my first one ever attended as a coaster club member. HOWEVER, that being said, I was unfortunately a witness to some pretty pathetic and rude behavior from 3 guests. The first was when the second wave of dinner patrons finally got into Midway Market for dinner (the 6-7 crowd). My friend and I were waiting for seats to open up and this lady comes bowling her way through the line saying "don't worry, I'm just here looking for my daughter", and lo and behold, we all watched her go to the buffet line and find her daughter and then proceed to grab a plate and start serving herself!! HOW RUDE!! THEN, while my friend and I finally got to get in line at the buffet, this man cuts in front of me, with out saying "excuse me" and proceeds to serve himself. I looked at my friend and kind of muttered that there are some rude people here tonight. and the guy heard me and looked at me and snapped a smart alec repy. THEN, the last thing I personally saw was some rude guy arrived at Hexed for his preview a couple minutes after 8, which it was clearly stated that 8:00 was the deadline to get in. The guy tried to cut his way to the front of the line and Tony happened to be there and the guy blew up at Tony and threw his tickets on the ground and was throwing tantrum to get in. Needless to say ,Tony was NOT in a good mood. I tried to lighten it up and joke with him, but he wasn't having it. I don't understand people today, why they can be so rude when CP and Coaster clubs really take care of us. And Tony is such a hard worker. Geez..I really saw the some of the worst in people that night.
First off, I want to say thanks for an awesome event as usual. ERT, food, giveaways, all great. That being said, I have to provide a bit of a critique this time around..
Way, way, way, way, way, way, way too many people for Midway Market. Way too many. We were assigned to the second hour of dinner, so 6-7 PM. We were over at GateKeeper getting a couple more rides in until 6:25 PM when we decided to head over for dinner. The thought was that we would miss out on the rush of people showing up at 6 PM. About 6:30 PM we lined up way out on the midway. By the time we actually made it in for dinner, we had waited an hour. Normally I am not one to complain too much about waiting. However, it was 7:30 PM at that point. A half hour is a conservative estimate for how long a buffet meal should last. Problem is, at that point, it was already 8 PM and the Hexed preview was missed.
Once again, I still enjoyed the event and am thankful. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of Halloween festivities thus I don't feel like I missed out on much. That being said, I can see where others might have been upset. Luckily everyone in the dinner line did seem to be more than understanding.
